He was with Swanee for a long time as were a few other mates of mine.
Dennis is great. I know his brother-in-law Glenn Morris pretty well, he even played some sitar on a record that some of my mates did. I remember the deltoids and he played with Steve Gilpin (RIP) for a while on the North Coast.

I knew one of Glenn's brothers through Qantas as well and Gail (I hope I got that right its been years !!) Dennis' wife.

I was a regular at he Forest Lodge seeing the Deltoids years ago. I never saw Dennis with Steve Gilpin and that was sad when he died.

I have visited Dennis' web site ages ago and I think he has some stuff up there for sale including Kharvas Jute stuff

Cheers Shadow, the end result makes it all worth it. For me its relaxing.

              Here's tonight's workout:

              Drilled some holes.

              Chiselled a bit.

Chiseled some more and tidied up with the router.

              And test fitted neck.

Mind boggling .... I couldn't even contemplate doing something like that. I am in awe.

                Congratulations!

A bit more progress. Rounded the edges and glued the neck in place.

Next we stain and dress her up.

                    Happy with the join.

Body sanded and ready for some colour.

These are test scraps with various strength die samples.

                            Rusty,

Im using a Wattyl spirit based "Craftsman's Traditional Stain". The colour is Rosewood.

For me making these things is about chilling out. me time. an hour every day after work, unless of course I have to run my son to soccer or cricket training.

I crack a beer, put on the old "wireless" in the shed, and work away. stuffing up, fixing my stuff ups, learning a shit load.

Its a great release for me now that sex has dried up.
