  • moving to canberra...

    anyone know much about the nations capital (other than it being freezing cold and full of public servants)? i have only visited once and that was 20 years ago and dont know anyone there...
    taking the fam there so can anyone give me a heads up on where to live?

    Depends on where you are working.

    If you're working Southside, you'll live in the Tuggeranong Valley, hideously expensive to buy a house, you'll get nothing under 350K.

    If you're working Northside you'll live in Belconnen or Gungalin both hideously expensive to buy a house, you'll get nothing under 400K.

    If you're working in the city, it won't matter as all public transport leads to the city.

      From only the looking at the map was looking at ainslie as the block sizes look big, you do pay for it though. what are those areas like?

        Well established but anywhere near the city is even more expensive.
