Recently reread Roths Portnoys complaint and was intrigued by the masturbation scene with the piece of liver.
I remember at highschool...in science class...we were dissecting a cows heart every one was given one........i remember lusting after it.....the folds and ventricles and ruddy flesh were not unlike the female sex........i remember coveting mine......hoarding it in my schoolbag........saving it from the knife...... and realising that others were surely thinking the same thing...........when i (and others) realised the immense effort of hiding a decomposing cows heart in your school bag we enacted an intersting freudian compromise.........we dumped it on the pretty english teachers desk before class............

the question remains.......are the terms modern sexuality to narrow? Could i have lived happily ever after with that heart (and some ice)?,,,,,,,,,,,,Why does the heart feature so prominently in romatic imagery?
