Love him in flying high, funny shit.
He played a couple of serious roles though, he was captain of the ship in Forbidden Planet and he also played the captain of the Poseidon in the Poseidon Adventure.
Will be missed.

I loved him in Flying High and Naked Gun.
I also loved him as the straight face captain in Poseidon Adventure, one of my favourite movies.
