Had a lovely Christmas at home with the family.
Just back from a few days in Busselton/Margaret River - was having such a good time didn't want to come back but I did.
The garden survived but the lawn looking a little dry.....once it had cooled down last night went out & watered.
Don't be afraid to step out in the rain. Take a chance. Sometimes the only way to get your rainbow is by getting wet.

I had my first non woggy Christmas. We went to Forster for the week and there wasn't a pasta dish nor cannoli in sight, it was strange but nice. And Forster is a lovely place, the locals, however, not so much.

I would love to have a Christmas with cannoli instead of the usual chocolate
I had a different Christmas this year too,on a farm in Boonah in QLD,the rain sounded beautiful on the tin roof and it was fun[sort of] getting tractored out to the car on boxing day because the ground was too boggy to drive right up to the house.
You are right RP,Forster is a pretty place but a lot of the locals are ferals,i like Port Macquarie so much more.

They really are, they should realize that a lot wouldn't have a pot to .... in if it weren't for tourists. The nicest one there is Wallster Bobbie, and she's getting out of there too hahaha.

And Club Forster, THE unfriendliest place I have ever visited.

Oh yeah you are talking about the tourists who come up this way then proceed to trash piss and shit on our beaches

You really should have holidayed up the Rd in beautiful Bonny Hills. We supply all tourists with buckets.

Without tourists Forster wouldn't have buckets to supply!

And we were very well behaved and I loved the beaches they're gorgeous, and anyone who trashes them should be baited, but the people who don't do anything wrong shouldn't be getting smug looks and being told they shouldn't be here.

tourism tends to pay the wages of many locals, even the ones tasked with cleaning up after theyve left!

Glad you didn't go swimming in the ocean at Busselton while you were there WA,the pics of that shark circling the dingy then taking a bite at the propeller made my blood run cold.

                        Hey Horrie,

Give us a PM when you're up this way again and we might catch up for a bit of a fish.

Will do Horrie, may be up in late Feb or early March but no definate plans yet.
Almost bought a town house up there last year,it was a deceased estate and had been on the market for a long while,it was in a block of five and another one in the block which was also a deseaced estate and was in a better condtion sold for $220,000 two months earlier.I offered $210,000 but the agent said they would probably want a little more,i held off for a while and went back to the agent with the same offer which he was going to forward onto the public trustee, some one else put in an offer which he revealed was slightly more than my original offer[found out it was $211,5000],he gave me last chance to offer before putting the offer in to the public trustee but i wouldn't budge. So in the end i could have got the place for $212,000,i am sort of kicking myself because it was a bargain at that price,it was a large place with nice yard,it needed a bit of work but it was mainly only superficial like painting, cleaning carpets etc.

Indeed it does. That is why the lovely folk here in Bonny Hills are very friendly towards tourists.

Thanks AW,the area where this town house was near the Growers Market area so the area was not that bad, ideally if i buy somewhere i would prefer a unit in around the actual CBD area so its close to walk to everywhere. There are plenty place for sale around Flynns Beach area but i would give that area a wide berth.
