I had a stroke in 09 and I made a full recovery. His stroke sounds similar to mine so hopefully he'll recover like I did. Best of luck mate.

I got a text from him today saying he had a mild stroke. Some difficulty speaking but not too serious.

I'm glad to hear it was a mild stroke. The Telecrap have described it as a 'severe'..like they would know!
My friend had a bone marrow transplant 7 years ago at St Vincents and she now does a lot of volunteer work there. She said what they can do now for stroke patients is amazing and shouldn't be something to be fearful of. Jim will be back before we know it.
