  • JMan in Hospital

I just called Jimmy to speak to him about Billy Gunn and was told by his daughter that he is in hospital after having a stroke yesterday.

You will not find someone with a bigger heart than JMan. It is evidenced by the amount of work he is doing to try and arrange something for Gunn.

He is in ICU at St Vincents.

She says that he is speaking (but a bit slurred).

    Now I am truly shattered.

          Oh Jesus.

Jimmy is one of the best blokes you'll ever meet. He has gone out of his way to help more people (including myself and my son) on this site than anyone else I know of.

He should be in everyones thoughts and prayers.

please keep updated on jmans movements, as ive had a major stroke, i can discuss some strategies that he might use to help himself, if he has slurred speech it may be a left side stroke, speech is one thing that does come good? a lot depends on how quick they got him to hospital and if so if they gave him a cocktail of drugs to lessen the effects? heres hoping we get a great outcome! too good a bloke whos done too much for many of us, just ask jake?

jman? F@rk me! Life can be cruel sometimes.

Not just a top Rooster but a totally 100% nice guy. There's nothing he wouldn't do for a Roosters player, supporter or indeed anyone in trouble.

              Hope you recover quickly Jim.

Shattered , first Gunn now my other great mate, if there really is a higher power how about he starts ****ing over the junkies and waste of spaces instead of decent hard working and big hearted people for a change.

I only spoke to Jimmy yesterday morning. He called to get some help with a Blackberry Phone error he was getting. He said he'd call me after work so i could talk him through it and he never called. I thought he must have got busy or caught up somewhere.

                  This is shocking news....

I don't know JMan apart from here but I'm shocked and saddened by this news. He and his family have my very best wishes and I hope he gets well soon and back to his fighting fit self.

Hey guys. Just called J Man's phone and spoke to a family member. Told him that everyone on the forum is sending best wishes. He is out of intensive care and on Level 7. Feeling much better today and in good spirits. He has lost a little bit of movement in his right arm but that should hopefully come back pretty well and his speech is a bit slurred. If I hear anything more I will keep you posted.

                              JMan,
I don't know you personally but you get a feel for people through their posts.
You are obviously well loved and respected on this site.

Get well mate and we welcome you back soon. Your best posting is ahead of you.
My father had his stroke 1 year ago and he is nearly 100% after waiting over 24 hours for his initial stroke medication. I'm sure you will recover faster as you had medication even sooner.
                              Best of luck, dear friend.
