It's a very sad day for the Australian music industry, with the passing of Harvey James, guitarist from Sherbet, due to lung cancer and now the awful news of the passing of Steve Prestwich, drummer with Cold Chisel, due to a brain tumour.

Very sad news. There was going to be a benefit concert for Harvie Jame on 17 Feb at which Sherbert were going to reform for the night and a few other musicians of their era were going to play as well. Hope it still goes ahead to raise funds for Harvie's family.
Sherbet and Cold Chisel - very different types of bands but both were faves of mine in my younger years. I actually recorded the old Sherbert Greatest Hits albumn I have (from memory inherited from my older sister) to CD a week or so and it's now locked and loaded onto my Ipod.
NCSupporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.
