There movie parodies were hilarious and their artist were brilliant, they made the characters look so real even in comic book form, have kept one copy from my youth, the one where they sent up Earthquake, i can't stop laughing any time i read it, it also had Jaws in the same copy so two great parodies in the one magazine. often google some of the other sends up and read them on line for old time sake."Those who care about you can hear you, even when you are quiet" - Steve Maraboli

Miss D & Me
Written by Kathryn Sermack who was Bette Davis's personal assistant in her later years in life. Interesting read but fails to mention a few of the movies Bette did post stroke which Kathryn was on set for and also the last movie which Bette walked out on and Kathryn had some sort of co producer role in. Still an interesting read but i would have loved to read of what happened on the set of Murder With Mirrors and Wicked Stepmother which are an omission from the book.

This is next on my list to read about this woman in the UK. I think I read about her in Hello Magazine when they were talking about Royal Ascot. I love reading anything historical.
Dorothy Paget : The Eccentric Queen of the Sport of Kings
At one point in her life, Dorothy Paget was described by journalist Quintin Gilbey, as `so much in the public eye that she became, apart from royalty, the best-known woman in the land.' Synonymous with Golden Miller, perhaps the greatest racehorse ever to jump a fence, Paget ploughed fortunes into racing and breeding, buying - despite never visiting - the Ballymacoll Stud in Ireland. She also happened to be the biggest gambler ever to walk the turf. Living an eccentric lifestyle, she would spend most of the day in bed and rise at night, placing bets with bookmakers and their staff, specifically
employed for these late night duties. She was even allowed to place bets on races that had already been run the previous day. This long overdue telling of the life of an extraordinary, larger-than-life character is now available in paperback."Those who care about you can hear you, even when you are quiet" - Steve Maraboli

"How to Spot A Liar - A Practical Guide to Speed Read People, Decipher Body Language, Detect Deception, and Get to The Truth" by James W Williams is very interesting. I'm lucky though because I can sense when someone is lying anyway. We also have a family member who does handwriting analysis and even appeared on the Midday Show many years ago. Now that a lot of communication is digital these days, they can decipher just from the way an email is constructed whether or not it contains the truth. For instance, I showed them a message I had been sent where a person's name had been spelled 4 different ways in the one email. For me it was a red flag and they confirmed my suspicions. They've assisted the police also with some cases so their skills are valuable and validated.
I can always tell when someone is drunk too when they have composed an email or a text but that doesn't take a lot of special talent.."Those who care about you can hear you, even when you are quiet" - Steve Maraboli
