  • Bucks party suggestion

OK all you Sydney locals...looking for some Bucks parties suggestions. I am helping my Nephews best man come up with some suggestions. Looking at some sort event in the early arvo and then onto the pubs, clubs, etc. Maybe an indoor cricket game to loosen up the drinking arm so any suggestions where in the city (or close to) that has an indoor cricket center?

Would be on Saturday March 26th. Was hoping the Roosters had a home game then I could have suggested going there....bummer....

Other things might be go karting but that looks a little far out of the city.

    Thanks for your suggestions,

    John

I'll offer some advice of what no-to-do:
    - Don't make it too expensive or tightasses won't turn up.
    - No drinking tab. Everyone chips in for the bucks and then pays their own drinks or goes into their own shouts.
    - Ending up at a strip joint almost always kills the night.

I once asked different groups of friends what was their best bucks and surprised they said almost exactly the same thing. Rent a decent property 1-2 hours away from sydney not far from pubs and with a pool: golf and then bbq by the pool, pub crawl by night, everyone crash out at same place, next day relax by the pool and then head back to sydney.

We also have piantball out here at Marsden Park.....apprently the best in Sydney.....HeartBreak ridge....so you could make a day of it with Go Karts and Paint ball.......and then you could also have the house with the pool set up for the evening.....

shit that sounds like a damn good weekend anyway, bugger the bucks night.....

For mine, i had a pub crawl around the Rocks.

We started at the Palisades, then
The Lord neilson (great home brews there)
the Hero of Waterloo (classic old pub)
The HarbourView (Great views and beer garden/verhanda)
            The mercantile (great irish Pub)
the orient (they are generally stringent on Bucks nights, probably give it a miss),
the Australian (my bucks ended here, i passed out in the ladies toilet.....apparently),
the Glenmore (great terrace at the top)
            and finally jacksons on george.

no strip clubs in sight, they just screw up the event !

Thanks for the suggstions. I think at this stage it might be either indoor cricket or bare foot bowls. Don't know any of my nephews mates so not sure what they are into. Any one tell me where there are some indoor cricket centres in the city or nearby? You play don't you Mario?
Barefoot bowls would be at Paddington. I have organise a few there for Top Bloke Day and it is always a good day and a good perve. Being close to the city means more options.

              Cheers,

              JL

Looks like we are going to Paddington for lawn bowls then a harbour cruise with a stripper, lingerie waitress, unlimited beer and spirits for 4 hours. $135 for the cruise which is not bad. Might leave the cruise to the young dudes though....
