I hope to Christ that the many hundreds of Kiwis playing in the NRL, dont get any devastating news in the next couple of days.
Especially our boys...........
My sister in law, her boyfriend and son live there. They are in total fear and getting the hell outta there asap. Just lucky they came through it alive. Their house is unlivable though.
Thoughts go out to the people that lost their lives and their families.

Glad to hear your sister in law and her family are safe. My cousins sister in law is over there too, thankfully she is fine as well.
it is amazing how things work, i mean the quake was smaller in size (6.3) than the one in sept (7.4), but just due to the location, depth and direction (and ofcourse the original quake in sept) the damage is alot more devistating.
It has been a great effort by the rescue crews to do what they have, they themselves have been risking their own lives to save others.
Hopefully as many people as possible can be saved.

At a football club, there’s a holy trinity – the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don’t come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques.

The fireworks at the Easter show are making more noise than the crowd tonight

Thanx SM. Yeah the rescue crews have been fantastic. Its also great to see other countries especially Australia helping us out in times like this.
Sydney Roosters prop Jared Waerea-Hargreaves has revealed his family's anguish and relief after his cousin was caught up in the Christchurch earthquake.
The Kiwi NRL enforcer's cousin lost his phone in the mayhem that followed Tuesday's quake and was unable to ring home leaving his family fearing the worst.
"My cousin works in the city and was out and about having lunch," Waerea-Hargreaves said.
"All of a sudden the building he was in started to shake and he just got up and ran for his life and didn't have time to pick up his bag or his phone.
"So for hours we had no way of getting hold of him and obviously it was very worrying.
"Thankfully that night he managed to ring and say he was safe which was a huge relief to all of us, but sadly for so many people in Christchurch they have not been so lucky."
Waerea-Hargreaves was training with the Roosters when the 6.3 magnitude earthquake shook New Zealand's second biggest city, and he said it was impossible not to be moved by the scenes he has watched on TV.
"I was training when it happened but raced home as soon as I heard about the news and turned on the TV and it was awful what I saw," he said.
"I know people that have lost homes but they are alive and OK and that's what's really important."
