  • No Carbon Tax Rally 23rd of March

Below is an email reply with some details on No Carbon Tax Rally organised by CATA

    CONSUMERS AND TAXPAYERS ASSOCIATION
    (CATA)

    "NO CARBON TAX RALLY"
    PEOPLE'S REVOLT

    Hi everyone,

Thankyou for your patience, the meeting with Chris Smith from 2GB has provided an official date, time and place. Chris will be doing a live broadcast from outside Parliament House Canberra on Wednesday 23.3.11 at 12noon. This will be the nation's main event rally on that date, he will be announcing that on his program tomorrow. After a long and thought out discussion together, we feel as Parliament will be sitting on that date, it's best that we give our full focus and protest in that main arena of the nation's capital. CATA will not be organizing a rally on that date in Sydney. CATA is aware that some will not be able to attend Canberra, but please be assured that Sydney will not miss out, plans are already in place. Rallies for Melbourne and other states are also been finalized at the moment. Please understand there is a lot to do and we are trying to please everyone, but we need to get the main event in Canberra off to a good start and things will only gather more momentum nationwide. We dont want it to be an overnight fizzer. Let's give Canberra our best shot while Gillard is there. If we work together as one the required result of "no carbon tax" will be easier to achieve.
CATA will also be inviting Alan Jones to do his program live in Canberra on that date, that is to be confirmed.

Anyone requiring bus coach transport could you please email me your interest and how many ASAP, I already have coaches ready to take bookings, the cost for a return ticket is $25, I will inform you of payment arrangements once I have the numbers. Thank you again for your support.

    Kind regards

Probably because they will get more people on a weekend

Do you know what Macquarie Street is like on a Saturday..?

There would be more than 100 000 people who work within 5-10 mins of Macquarie Street monday to friday.

On a Saturday there would be lucky to be 1000....

I'm glad they pick someone with such an impeccable character to be involved. Though Tony Abbot is probably a fan of Chris Smith

LMFAO, only Blabbot could go to a rally in his favour and come back looking like a farking idiot.

And how many people were there, 300 if that! What a complete failure and dear ole Tony standing right in the middle of it. LMAO.

                      Chook.

Hey Chook, I was looking for you....but I only saw a Green trying to get a word in and a Righty whistling over the top of the young dope.... LOL.

I was hoping PM Boganella would make an appearance and face the music. Not like there were a lot of people there.

The Government's all shook up. And it aint over yet with big turnouts expected in Sydney and Melbourne.

                        Bring the spite. Boganella's finished.
