I too was the victim as a child of being bullied.

Dead legs, horse bites by groups of what I thought were men, but just my own year and the years above. I came from a hard home where my father regularly called me soft, and other names.

Your child may seem sweet and all the rest. But he might be bullying kids and you just don't know.

I saw that footage of Casey fighting back for the first time tonight.........I am glad he did.

that little punk who was goading him deserved everything he got. This casey kid would have been pushed to his wits end, hence the snap.

I remember in my year eight science class (surprisingly so) the other guys in the back row of the class room were throwing things at me, and one of them *name withheld* came from behind and punched me so hard in the side of the head that I fell off my chair, and trying to get up I fell backwards over the tables they were sitting at, and they all laughed.

Surprisingly the teacher never saw a thing.

Apparently he was suspended too right? If i was his parent, I would be looking for some very good legal advice to see the possibilities of sueing the principle, school and education department for failure to keep a safe environment for the child.

I was bullied in primary school & ended up becoming a somewhat violent person later on coz as I got bigger than them I had so much rage to contend with..... I'm not violent now but am still prone to rage attacks & being very self conscious.

everyone gets bullied...not everybody has to deal with being assaulted everyday though.
nothing will ever get done about it.this media attention is just making more children bully kids in hope of getting on TV

There is a marked difference in levels of bullying... My teenage daughter had to move to my mothers to get away from a girl that used to look for her & attack her.. The AVO did nothing...

Seeing that footage brought back good and bad memories of my school days.

Going to a catholic school on the northern beaches in the late 70's to mid 80's, bullying was rampant. The only difference today is that knives and guns are carried by the little shits. I my day it was only fists and discriminative words used. Have heard every name under the sun used. All that did to me was make mentally tough.

In my early school years, you could count on two hands the amount of non Anglo kids (European) at my school. Getting bullied was just part of going to school. As I got bigger, the bullies started hunting in packs. The "one-on-one" became "two/three/four-on-one". Yep had my fair share of fights.

And for some reason, the teachers turned a blind eye to what was going on. Preferential treatment was given by the teachers to those that were in the sporting teams. These absolute dumb-farks would always get away with "murder" in the class room.

Even had a ginger-head maths teacher from Year 7, who also happened to be the cricket coach. This knob had a habit of walking around the class room with a cricket bat, 'pretending' to swing the bat close to the head of us non Anglo's, just missing, but you could feel it close to your head.

As I got older and bigger, I got involved in playing rugby league. Also played soccer and tennis (girls started to become a priority, and they looked good in those little short skirts) For me, rugby league was a way to "legally" bash the shit out of these cock-heads.

And to this day, I remember vividly, when us Year 10 students played the teachers in a game of rugby league. That red-headed maths kunt of a teacher was all I was thinking about. When he got the ball, all those years of built up aggression towards him came out. He got smashed all game that day. Maybe a small victory for me, but fark it felt good bashing that farker.

Now I am not condoning violence, but it comes to a point where you retaliate.

What happened to that scrawny kid in the youtube vid, although not politically correct, was justified.

He wanted to be tough and be famous (got one of his mates to film the thing!!!), well the whole world knows what a little farker he is. And his "apology" was the most insincere thing i have seen on tv in ages.

Bullying will always be there unfortunately, but now that weapons are used, it is not a level playing field anymore. And although not politically correct, fighting with fists will always do less damage than the weapons that exist in the playgrounds of today's schools.
