  • What are your PB's in the Gym on the track, etc?

At the Gym, on the track, running, swimming, in the bedroom lol, whatever activity you do etc....

Lets get a bit self indulgent and have a toss..

Also give us some training tips, diet tips if you feel inclined....

Got this idea from the health and well-being section in League Unlimited

Post your PB's from the gym, track, etc.....

I will put up some of my gym ones soon although not very impressive

BTW Managed to soft sand run 14 kms in July this in just over 92 minutes....I will never better that as I am in my mid 40s now and it was torture getting into that sort of endurance level with enough strength in the legs and core to get me through soft sand for that amount of time and more recently training for strength, speed and aesthetically..

I'm a machine Parky however my proudest sporting moment was winning the world bed race championship in Hawaii

We were sponsored by the Bourbon and Beefsteak. We raced the Santa Monica track club in the final. These guys were huge. Covered in roid zits and egos the size of LA.

We took em down and made the Cross proud that day.The owner of the Bourbon and Beefsteak (back then) was the scariest human i've ever met.

I did my long restorative walk around the lake in 5 hours. This is an amazing feat because it's only about a 10km walk, but I 'extended' it in order to let off a large amount of excess steam (this included having a beer on the way, getting a nice big hamburger and watching the ducks swim around for a few hours). 10km in 5 hours baby, you ripper!!!

I won't bore you with my PBs as a track and field athlete. However, I used to run 400m in less than 50 seconds, and trained twice a day for it (made nationals as a senior, had a sports scholarship at uni... blah blah blah sure we believe you ya fat fark!) Can't say I was naturally gifted, but gaawd I put a lot of effort into that.

My best subsequent feat was finishing a law degree in 2.5 years... 14 of my 24 units were completed in 1 year. Yes, I had no life during that period, and put on about 30kg (which is taking me a lot longer to burn off, but I'm getting there).

Possibly after busting their asses to run it in 2.16 (which is incredibly fast for that age) they would struggle to run another 200m in 1 minute.....

BTW I did 101 kgs x 4 reps on my heavy set doing bench press the other night (well it was 224lbs). It should be time for 101s all round

              Seriously quick!!!!

Nah, not the sub 50sec 400s cuzzy bro, its the walk around lake in 5 hours after 4 Triple Bacon and Cheese Burgers and 27 Pale Ales...I am a truth teller!....

BTW I was going to do some 040s track and try to qualify for some masters events this summer but completely farrked my knee so will hopefully be in shape for next summer.

Kudos re the Law Degree in 2 and a half years that is seriously quick, I am studying right now but it is going to take me closer to 10 years to complete....

Great you put a few septics in their place Post Code. Especially the Santa Monica track club wasn't that the club in which Carl Lewis and a few other other notable roid munchers came from?

It's a small world mate, I played for a touch Footy team in the early 90s with Cockadoodledoo, we were sponsored by the Bourbon and Beefsteak lol....

I didn't say anything about running, or treadmills I said concept 2 rower, try 1000m 3:30 isn't a bad time to start with. BTW not many 11 year old kids boy or girl could do a 3min 1k sprint on the rower. I might actually look it up later.

Wow, BTW what was your stroke rate/ and average per 500m. What do you set you drag at?

My stroke rate depends on the tide and I average 500m in 6.9 secs. I usually go for 80 pound line and the biggest hook I can find , then set my drag very low then tighten it up when I hook a big fella.
