  • What is your favourite novel??

I am home, just finishing the household chores and preparing tomorrows agenda for the local P&C association.

I am in between boyfriends at the moment so I have no one to snuggle up to and I feel like reading a book. My favourite authors are Jane Austen, Fanny Burney, Abigail Reynolds and Rob Rotten who wrote the Texas Vibrator Massacre, my favourite surprise, surprise is Pride and Prejudice. But I don't know what I should read right now and not in the mood for Rob Rotten.

I'm feeling adventerous and can anyone tell me a good book or your favourite novel.

Hello Chooky. Good to have you on the site.
My favourite novel is probably By The Rivers Of Babylon by Nelson DeMille. I love all his books, especially the ones with the character John Corey in them (obviously where my forum name is from).
Also love historical fiction like Conn Iggulden. And John Lescroart and Michael Connelly who are similar authors to John Grisham.

The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein was one of the most powerful books I've ever read. I need to get back into reading, thought I might start with 1984 by Orwell.

I've read most of King, but Clive Barkers "Great and Secret Show" and the sequel "Everville" will always stay with me.

Maybe its time to buy a dog they wont leave you even if you are a cross dresser.
Last book I read was Thomas the Tank to the kids 20 years ago & from what I remember it wasnt bad. These days I only read quality like The Daily Up Up Cronulla Telegragh, Phil Rothfields articles are quite good they are all accurate & he is always on the mark.

I read most nights, mainly non-fiction.
As for novels I really rate Lee Child's Jack Reacher series, and enjoy some of Clive Cussler's stuff.
Favourite novel of all time is The Caine Mutiny by Herman Wouk.

Classic thread, Phil Rothfield and Rob Rotten quoted in the one thread.
