I have one of those 80's reunion live concert CD's and this comes up quite a bit on my shuffle:

Haha, well that’s an old post Horrie. We’ll have to disagree on the good taste, well for that song anyway. I remember when they used that song for an election coverage a while back. Drove me bonkers playing it at the beginning and end of every ad break. Not to mention the other half playing it constantly in the car lol!

Celtic Sunday again. This is Dropkick Murphy's rocking up the much covered classic Fields of Athenry. It and Whiskey In The Jar are two songs that you will always hear in an Irish pub. The latter played by RWB here recently. There are slow original and rock versions of both around over the years.

Do you remember young Rooster_Seiyan who used to post with us on the old Wall? Collateral_Damage_JWH mentioned him in the thread we had about where the old forum members have gotten to as he and I were talking about the old days back in April when he and his wife had called me from the Gold Coast to see how I was, as they met on there too. RS had posted on the old Wall that he was going to see Dropkick Murphy's and I had no idea who they were. I said that's not a nice way to speak about Irish people..

Remember this indie band? I had said to you any band called Proud Mary can't be bad...this one is called There Goes My Very Best Friend:

I do remember the Rooster Seiyan name. The Murphy's would be great to see live, was that out here? They are actually American based, described as Celtic Punk. I don't even know what punk is such is my music genre un- eclecticness. I'm being edumacated here though. Oops haven't listened to Proud Mary yet...will do.

Yes it was because RS had made a post "Dropkick Murphy's tonight" with a smiley face and I had no idea what he was talking about. I think it was the Enmore Theatre..just looked it up..20 October 2011 as the Wall was still going then. RS and I got told off once by someone because we were having a great time posting all sorts of songs right in the middle of a really big Rooster victory over someone..we were in such a good mood and having a great time posting songs because of the big win and someone tried to spoil our fun..

LOL re Proud Mary..You'll like them Jack..this one? Probably not..this is Train in Vain - The Clash
