    Hi guys.

Just wondering what happened to the thread I posted asking about travel ideas?

    Thanks.

        Thanks mate.

I'm at a loss to know why though? I don't recall it being offensive or against the rules in any way?

Maybe it got hijacked and turned upside down. There is one in particular here who appears to be very good at that.

I replied as I expressed that my favourite places to travel to would be Nepal and Tibet via trekking the Himalaya.

I would also like to get to Hawaii, in particular Oahu, Maui and Kaui.

I will probably get to the Philippines end this year as have family there. May either trek in the mountains in central Luzon or go to the Zambales province which is quite beautiful with many seaside covers surrounded by mountains and Subic Bay.

Japan might be on the agenda next year and if I am fortunate to be selected in a national masters (o40s or o45s team in one of the touch football codes) I may travel to Fiji for a tournament and to sight see for a week later this year.

Possibly MU may have replied after but I didn't see his reply.

Thanks Parkway. I remember reading the first bit of that and I also remember replying but after that ??? As I said, maybe it got hijacked. Who knows?

I would love to visit the Philippines. I have met many wonderful people from there.

Japan would be an awesome place to visit especially in winter. It would be unreal to spend a week boarding at Hakuba.

Hope you get out and see the places you want to mate. Seeing the world is awesome. 👍

Maybe the first thread got accidently swept out with all the crap threads that breed like rabbits in this section?? I dunno.
Our moderators are wonderful and legendary , but perhaps not perfect.........

Like Parky, I would've said Hawaii but for different reasons.
He has the surfing bug, but I'd love to see Pearl Harbour and the lava flows, and of course the bars on the beach.

Funnily enough, my other option would be North England.
              I am complex.

I've been just about everywhere in Australia, and didn't even leave when Rudd was PM.

Got a soft spot for Hawaii. Used to live there briefly. Very touristy but if you know how to steer clear of the tourist areas, there are awesome places to spend time. You don't even need to travel too far out of Waikiki to do so.

There is a lot of username paranioa here. One poster in particular seems to have made it his life's mission to hunt down people with multiple aliases by subjecting them to PMs of gay porn. I don't know how that's going to fix anything? Maybe a bit of travel might fix them up a bit.

Dude Hakuba is one of my favourite places! A lot of people head further north to Hokkaido for sking/boarding but the Nagano region is awsome. Around Hakuba there are good hotspirings, accomodation and restaurants. The snow is awesome too. That was the location of the Nagano Winter Olympics too. Its a really great place if you can get there, although if you are not a Japanese speaker or have one with you it can be difficult. I actually had a boarding accident at Hakuba 47 once and had to get carted down the mountain and taken to hospital lol.

Only been to the Philipines once and only went to Cebu. I would like to see more but it is genuinely becoming a very dangerous place these days. Be careful

Hawaii is a place that I have not been too and would like to visit. Also pretty keen to take a greencation to Colorado.

Elvis, just ignore his posts mate. It's the same old dribble anyway. He seems to enjoy living in the gutter. Let him continue his witch hunt from down there.

I'm not worried about the language barrier. I've travelled plenty in the past and never had any issues. There's always a way to communicate whether you speak the local language or not. I have a mate who goes to Hakuba ever Feb and he raves about it. I also have a mate who lives there and all he does is offers free guided tours of the runs. He loves it so much that it is simply a way to stay on the snow. In summer there, he comes back to AUS. I've done plenty in Canada and NZ but would really like to try Japan and some of the middle eastern/Eastern Europe fields.

An accident big enough to be taken off the hill in a stretcher sounds ugly. Hope you are ok now.

You would love Hawaii mate. Just try and get off the beaten track a bit.

Cebu doesn't interest me that much. I've heard it's just a massive tourist trap and you have to watch your back. Drugs there are a real issue and the crap like users and crime that they attract isn't of much interest to me.

I would also love to do a tour of south east Asia. Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.
