im off to manilla next monday for the final stage of my front implant teeth, although manilla is not one of my favourite Asian cities ive got a great dentist there if anyone is interested, i loved bangkok, saigon, bombay even kular lumpar but not Jakarta, too much corruption. probably know my way around Singapore better than i do the sutherland shire? hongkong seems to have lost its edge? but then at my age so have i? spent most of my working life in south east asia.never had language problems a mate recently sold his guest house in phnom phen cam,bodia, he loved the place, but hes back in the shire now. japan can be surprisingly cheap as ling as you dont need toi survive on steaks, learn to love noodles and soup youl love the cplace very diverse easy to get around wonderful people all the kids and youth speak english. safe clean and faSCINATING EVEN KNOW A PLACE TO STAY IN DOWNTOWN TOKYO FOR $35 A NITE free wi fi.

Dude Hakuba is one of my favourite places! A lot of people head further north to Hokkaido for sking/boarding but the Nagano region is awsome. Around Hakuba there are good hotspirings, accomodation and restaurants. The snow is awesome too. That was the location of the Nagano Winter Olympics too. Its a really great place if you can get there, although if you are not a Japanese speaker or have one with you it can be difficult. I actually had a boarding accident at Hakuba 47 once and had to get carted down the mountain and taken to hospital lol.

Only been to the Philipines once and only went to Cebu. I would like to see more but it is genuinely becoming a very dangerous place these days. Be careful

Hawaii is a place that I have not been too and would like to visit. Also pretty keen to take a greencation to Colorado.

Japan is on my list and a few of my mates have gone skiiing and boarding which is in the north I assume.

Agree the Philippines is a lot more dangerous now with a psychopathic douchebag for a president but I love the place and yes I am pretty careful these days over there. Never go to the deep south of Mindanao which is a very beautiful spot. In fact my stepmom comes from Mindanao between Cotabatal City and Davao which is quite dangerous. Probably the best place for tourists to go to the Philippines are the Islands of Palawan, Coron and El Nido some of the best diving spots on the planet and beautiful waterways, gorges, river caves, etc.

Cannot go wrong with Hawaii especially with it being such a natural paradise, and Colarado sounds like fun.

He may be a douchebag president but it appears he's doing whatever it takes to clean the place up from drugs and that can't be such a bad thing considering the effect they have on the community as a whole.

Dont agree RT, there are other ways to try to fix the problem. I think he is just helping out his cronies whatever way he can including this so called drug war. When someone you know who has never done drugs nor sold gets shot 7 times because someone doesnt like him because he has a beautiful wife and the other prriick is jealous but knows the cops. There have been many innocent people and kids killed. Also most of the ones are drug addicts (usually victims and poor themeselves or low level peddlers). The mr bigs and other high end people usually cops or friends with cops and powerful people in the Duterte camp are a protected species. But if you are not connected with the right people then you are on the 'kill lists' which unfortunately also include people not in drugs but may be considered an enemy of the state.

BTW I saw an old so called addict dead on thd street not long after being shot. His widow and family in front of the crowd screaming and crying will leave a permanent sorrowful tattoo in my brain. What about human rights? What if it was your husband, wife, brother, sister, son, duaghter, grandparent, grandchild?

PD we only get fed what the media tells us, you obviously have better knowledge as you have relatives closely associated with the country.

I feel for the innocents in the whole drama. In any battle there are always going to be innocent victims.

I don't really buy into the whole human rights issue in this instance as human rights are the last thing on drug dealers and users minds.

Like yourself as ER I don't pretend to be a new member, just forgot my password and perhaps I had a dubious past on here like you. However, I don't masquerade as other aliases on here of which quite a few on here are not so sure about you Honkers.

You have to admit you have form on that front and perhaps you should let your new friend Rented Tracksuit what you used to get up to 4 or so years ago and that might help clear up a lot of the issues that member is having. Because at the moment he is being suspected as yourself by a number of users on here.

Anyway I don't really care from now on as I prefer to not do my head in anymore, there are better things to do like travel and talk about it.

Just got back from Ireland, visited the west coast, also Dublin, beautiful place. Would like to go back to Te Anu in New Zealand, the gateway to the Fjiordland. I am a bit meh about South East Asia and Hawaii as I prefer the cooler climates. I used to dive for abalone in me younger years.

They have some pretty good powdered snow the skiing variety in New Zealand, I would like to go to the West Side of Canada too. Been to the East years ago as have relos over there around Toronto and Montreal which has a really cool music vibe to the place and as you would be aware they speak French in Quebec Province of which Montreal is a part of.
