Sports tours

Just curious if any of you have been on any sports tours? Things like overseas trips to follow the cricketers or footy teams.

What groups have you tagged along with to watch sport or have you yourself toured to play?

I'm on with Blatchy's Blues this year for Origin 3 at Suncorp. Hoping its going to be good night.

How far have you gone to see a game/match/event?

I went on a tour to watch the scissors, paper, rock world championships in Tuvalu. It was epic dude, its amazing how fit those guys are.
And what a spectacle it is when you watch it live.

I could be in a sports carnival in Fiji at the end of the year. I never competed in my younger adult years as i was the main bread winner and have a child with special needs. However now that she has grown up and has help with her programme i have been able to play a couple of masters ages sports. Should be fun as a couple of the fellas are a bit scared drinking with me after a carnival last year in which i must have got them completely shitfaced lol.

I have never been on an organised sporting supporters tour before. Would have loved one of those Cricket supporter Tours to The Old Dart or Carribean.

Also.the old Kangaroo supporter sporting tours would have been fun. Heck the world cup soccer rugby league or even an Olympics party pretty cool too.

Met up with the Wigan crowd a few years back when they were here. Top people and man they can drink.

That would be up there with the.grass growing world cup in Addis Addaba or the World pickle growing contest at Marayong. The platinum gold pass package gets.you a pass to Turk's dad's old garage with the pickle and sickle.

Fantastic PD and thumbs up to you putting your family first. Special needs kids are hard work and I have nothing but admiration for anyone in your position. I'm glad you can now spend some time on yourself and reward yourself for the years of sacrifice. Sounds like you have been having a ball on the sports carnivals. I never got the chance to compete although I was offered a spot to join on a few occasions.

I do travel quite a bit to watch sports having been to Canada, the US, UK, Europe and when living abroad, travelling back home to AUS for the footy etc. I hooked up with the fanatics to watch the Aussies play in England and am really looking forward to Origin this year with the Blatchy's Blues group.

been on a few footy tours in the day, off to christchurch april 18 for next golden oldies romp, great fun, loved that toen, all my old girlfriends would be old women now? still sounds like fun?

As for me. I used to go.away to Europe to fight the English Soccer Hooligans when they ran amok after getting knocked out of the World Cup or Euro Cup. Those were the days....lol only joking. But been to a couple of World Cups. Germany in 2006???...The Aussies.were ripped off but i had a blast.

Those old brawlers at the soccer are crazy. Although I'm not a soccer fan, I would love to experience a premier league game one day but not too keen on getting a dart in the back of my head.
