Now that's what I love to hear and see..thanks for sharing..
Now Andy, your next post is going to be your 10,000th..hope it's something of quality like that.
Now this lovely cover version came up yesterday...suitable for a crying day..Olivia & John Farnham singing Tenterfield Saddler..I grew up not far from Tenterfield but on the Qld side.
Olivia's opening of this is poignant and magnificent..

Proud aunty moment here..my niece is one of Kylie's backup dancers at this performance at the closing ceremony of the 2000 Paralympics. She's the one with the auburn hair, black pants with the chain belt and gold top to Kylie's right at the beginning. It's not the whole clip but just a bit of Celebration..
I never put 2 and 2 together with that Horrie...now this is playing on my shuffle thanks you to giving it to me..a forum favourite for a few of us...I know it's a few pages back, but worth reposting..
Unlike some people, I'm not going to try and dictate to anyone as to what type of music I expect to see in this thread. This is for everyone to post whatever takes your fancy at the time, as long as it's a cover version, who cares? I won't get bent out of shape either if it's been posted before. Bound to happen since this thread has been going since 2017, so thank you to those who have made contributions. I've been summonsed to get to the hospital clinic on Monday afternoon, so no going into the office to meet Millie Boyle, but thanks to the wonders of technology, I can at least watch the interview from home in the morning. Here are a couple of pretty ones for everyone to enjoy.
The Cranberries covering one of the first songs I learned how to sing. I must have been around 4 or 5 years old. This one is Close To You.
I have a soft spot for Pink because she donated so much money to the Victorian bushfires, because she loves touring Australia, and wanted to give back. Touring is expensive for artists and not as profitable as many may think and some even lose money with the cost of logistics, travel etc, particularly travelling long distances. This lady's heart is as big as her voice and this tribute to Olivia is magnificent. Enjoy..
In the other music thread someone was complaining that the music being posted wasn't new enough apparently...well tough as my favourite eras for music are actually the 50's and 60's...it just made me cranky as not everyone is out and about going to gigs etc at the moment.
Hope you are out enjoying the sunshine Andy...just remembered this great remix of an old classic...The Sunshine Song..reminds me of watching shows like Video Hits and Good News Week..
Happy Friday everyone and hoping for a Roosters double header win tomorrow...

Could you be so kind as to direct me to the offending post As after perousal of the other thread I am unable to see such a post
Don't worry Andy..its not that important in the grand scheme of things but thanks for asking. I'm too tired to go back tracking and look for it now.
Have a listen to this gorgeous song covered by a gorgeous lady. I love everyone's version of this but only have Daryl Braithwaite's (the one I grew up with) and Bonnie Raitt's but Linda of course adds something special to it. My cousin and I got into a deep discussion about our love of Linda and other music earlier this year when her Mum (Dad's sister) passed away. I haven't seen this cousin since my Mum died but we just picked up where we left off..her late brother was the one who had racehorses in Tooowoomba.
Love Has No Pride..I love the lyrics "I'd give anything to see you again.."..
