thanks horrie, i have spent my life searching for it hahah, well not quite but many trips to random bottlos over the border, cuz i know a mate of mine picked some up in newcastle so i thought maybe u couldnt get it in qld. there is only one bar i know that has it here and next time i visit i will be asking them too. but i will give these guys a call, you're a champ

i like this drink called a sick dog
its got liquor 43 (stasey i still havent been able to track it down!) ginger beer and lime juice all poured over mint and ice. the quantities really come down to the bar tender so yeah its really hard if you dont drink...

Im actually doing some work at Coast Country on Saturday Fitz, I will ask the boss there whats the go with that stuff.

Horries lead looks like a goer though, he knows his shit when it comes to the demon drink, .

And Devon, a shandys horrible in my opinion you dont mix shit in beer, unless its a depth charger. They do those lime infused poo nowadays, havent bothered trying it, but im sure its the modern shandy.

haha i dont know what you mean by lime infused poo...but ive sold very few corona's where they DIDNT want either a piece of lime or lemon shoved in it...the first one i did..im quite the idiot...i had the lime in the little tongs and put it in the bottle (not realising we are allowed to just let it sit on top) and then squeezed it through with the tongs and squirted the customers face with the juice...oops...he was rude anyway...but did leave a tip

A lemon or lime slice with a Corona is fine but there are stack of newish beers that have the lime flavour infused in them and they are horrible,there appeal have seemed to have worn off now because we hardly sell any through my store.

the shandy.......remember as a kid Mum & Dad would make us kids a real weak one - more lemondade than beer but we felt real big! Dad also drank beer & stout....think it was called Black & Tar?

Yes that is why i used to like shandys,you felt like you were having a grown ups drink[next was blackberry nip and lemonade].Don't think i would even think about drinking a shandy these days[or blackberry nip for that matter either].Beer and stout is called a black & tan.

i tried a lime infused beer a few months ago. bought a six pack. 5 of em are still in the fridge. yuck!

hey fitzy..have you been out to a venue since a few weeks ago? have any of the rules up there been instated like down here..

after midnight:

no glass is to be served (if you want a glass product the bartender will pour it into plastic cups)
no shots
no double shots with spirits
no less than 50% alcohol:mix in ratio (i.e no baileys on ice..you would need milk...all spirits have t have post mix or juice or milk or whatever)
no ready to drinks with alcohol percentage greater than 5 (therefore no double blacks, vivezo etc)
max 4 drinks per person
mandatory ten minute time outs per every hour of trading after 12

aha that's it....a black & tan! Drinking Pure Blonde beer at the moment when not having champagne cocktails. A few weeks back had champagne with wild hibiscus syrup (hibiscus flower is edible).........YUM!

Between two people last night at dinner and before hand polished off a bottle of Moet nv,a bottle of Evans and Tate Chardonnay,a bottle of Cape Mentelle Sem Sav Blanc,a half bottle of a voigneir that the restuarant owner gave us and then a half bottle of port at home,i was very dusty at work today

since im new to bartending and my alcohol knowledge is remedial i dont know how to make any shots or cocktails..all i know is wet p's, QFs and jam doughnuts

what are some shots and cocktails and other blends that would be commonly (especially for young people, given its a nightclub) ordered over a bar

Cordial is always a good mix, try mixing red with orange

or green with water

Drinking a 2 ltr bottle of fire engine red an hr before mating helps performance and climax also.

I haven't been out to a night club since Halloween and by the time I got to the club I was so wasted they wouldn't let me in. When I finally got into one, I was too drunk to want more alcohol and I decided I was never drinking again. So no, I have no idea if those crazy rules are in up here, but I'm sure my alcoholic friends would have expressed outrage if they were, particularly cuz all they drink is those awful black label vodka drinks with like 7% alcohol or something

urgh smirnoff double blacks..i worked in a bar last night that only sells cans and bottles its like a special portable little bar or whatever...having to fight with every second moron who doesnt understand that i cannot sell double blacks after midnight
