Nah I can't go along with that. I'm in favour of gay marriage and not a fan of Mr. Abbott but that is poor. If a former Australian Prime Minister is good enough to shake your hand on the street I think he should be treated with an appropriate level of courtesy and respect.

When I was a teenager I attended at pro-am before the Palm Meadows Cup on the Gold Coast one year. Bob Hawke was playing with Greg Norman. The par 5 18th hole involves a double water carry. The approach shot to the green needs to carry the water. Bob Hawke was about 170 metres away from the green and about to play this third shot. Just as Bob was preparing to hit his shot my old man yelled out to him, "Hey Bob, you better take a picture of that ball cause you are never going to see it again". I tried my best to look invisible as Hawke interrupted his pre-shot routine to glare at the idiot that was heckling him. Hawke settles back down and the proceeds to hit a lovely fade to the centre of the green.

Yes I don't believe in violence in any form, I cant stand Tony Abbott but what happened to him was not called for or warranted. Even though this fool who attacked him said it had nothing to with the YES/ No vote on SSM all he has done is give the supporters of SSM a bad name.
