If only we could go back to those halcyon days of equality and freedom... because life in 2018 Australia is just so oppressive, right?

You live in one of the best countries in the world. And in terms of living a long, free and happy life we have it better than people ever have. Two consenting men being able to marry doesn't change that.

To finish on topic, I don't give a **** what Folau's religious beliefs are I'd be ecstatic if we signed a player of his quality.

Where I live, if you are gay you could be improsoned or stoned to death and that’s got nothing to do with the colour of your skin or if you can vote or not.

Just because a government says something can be done doesn’t mean it should.

Just like you though, I don’t care what a players personal beliefs or sexual preference is. If they are playing well for anyone, it shouldn’t even be questioned.

And that’s a problem? If you are going to make yourself a target, bigots are going to shoot straight for the bullseye. Just because someone’s opinion differs from your own does not make that person a bigot. Labelling them as one makes the accuser exactly the thing they are accusing that person of.

Right so I or people I know who were born with a disibility beyond our control have made ourselves a target? And people who have discriminated against me or others with disabilities since I was a young child because of that disability are entitled to do so and are not bigots? I’ve clearly had this all wrong my whole life. Opinions like this are really upsetting to me.

Of course you are not a target MR. It’s upsetting that you are twisting things in such a way. A person with no choice such as a physical issue or an illness is not what I am referring to and I think you know that. By your argument then, being gay is a disbility right?

Poor or gay people. Clearly I also have had it wrong all my life as well for I did not know that. Maybe we should start reserving seats on trains for them?

I am not twisting things and take offence at that. I have been a victim of bigotory for much of my life. The people who make judgements about me are not simply expressing their opinions, they are bigots. The people who judge others based on their race, religion, sexual orientation, disability etc are bigots. As I said before MR, no one is condoning people who have unfair opinions of others because of things out of their control. Sexual orientation is not out of someone’s control. It’s a choice so it is that which I was referring to as target. To add to that, they play it at every possible opportunity and have done their best to divide the country with the issue, name calling, labeling and abusing people with a different opinion to themselves. People born with a disability have not done that.

As for suggesting someone who is a bigot can’t be a victim of bigotry... are you serious? Of course they can. The bigoted opinion of the gay community not to allow Izzy to express his beliefs without causing a stink proves your statement null and void.
