What happened to the Songs from your Era thread?

63 is way too young. Like Andy I remember those two big hits very well as they were massive here in Australia and around the world of course. Another sad loss for the music industry.

A huge loss, i have Fame, Flashdance and Why Me on my IPOD, i only added Why Me recently on my IPOD because i found a copy of the original single i could download and not a remix like i have on CD (although i do still have the original 7 inch vinyl in storage ) , it has come up a few times since i put it on recently, Flashdance comes up fairly often but Fame rarely plays, there was a time where i thought it might not even be on there but then it plays just once every blue moon.

Irene won the Academy Award with Flashdance for best original song.

Such an underrated song for Amii Stewart, i reckon it is actually better than her smash hit Knock on Wood.

Flashdance is such a great song. Fame is too but I prefer Flashdance just a little bit more I think. It has such a great melody and hook.
