            • Throw in one or two from Justin Townes Earle. Mega talented musician who passed at a tender 38 years. Son of Steve and in this clip you get a sense of what he was like to see in a live gig. Had the fortune to see him twice. The Hank Williams influence is laid bare with a hint of old blues for good measure. Easy vocals and gets a sound from the acoustic with his finger picking that belies the fact its just one guy and his geetar.

Hell yes! I'm a big fan of guys like these. Are you familiar with the gentleman he was named after? Townes Van Zandt was one of the greatest and imo a better writer than Dylan.

What an amazing voice. Only 30 years old when he passed away and the son of Tim Buckley. Who knows what could have been as he only produced the one album.

Sure am mate. Steve Earle named Justin after TVZ such was his regard for the man. Pancho and Lefty is a great song. He had plenty though.

                        Heres some more JTE.

Justin and Steve Earle are both incredible. I heard Steve play a song in tribute to his son after he passed. Pretty gut wrenching stuff.

I met Jeff a couple of times in the 90's and saw him live 3 times. One of the most talented musicians I have ever seen.

Two of my real favourites as well. Im sure you know they weren't the best of mates and its rare to get footage of them on stage together. Heres a beauty with both acoustics humming. Steve is never lauded as a top guitarist but he does some clever stuff himself.
