It could be MR , the only reason why i didn't go back and check was because today on WSFM was the first time i had ever heard the song How naughty of me .
Lol MR i just noticed it on page 563, i'm gong to blame the better half as we both heard in the car this morning and said that its a perfect song for the this thread even though both of us had never heard it before
and i'm not going to pull up AW for posting Streets Of Philadelphia after it was already posted a lot earlier
Well I’m shocked you didn’t know that one, but don’t worry your credibility is still fine with me haha. It’s actually one of my favourite KISS songs. My BF at school was a mad KISS fan so that probably helps with me knowing a fair about them. Also, I did notice the Boss double up with AW as well, but couldn’t remember if it was you or me who posted it originally.
Its funny, i always loved Olivia and the Xanadu album but for a long while i would play the whole album but skip the last track which was Xanadu, i didn't really like the song at the time but one night was at a dance party and they played a few songs in a row, These Boots Are Made For Walking which had me on the dance floor straight away, then they played Bang a Boomerang by ABBA and then Xanadu, just watching the lights bouncing off the mirror ball and really listening to the lyrics i suddenly fell in love with the song ( may have had something to do with the enhancements i had also ) but now it is one of my all time favourite dance floor songs. After Xanadu the DJ played Hit The Road Jack and those four songs have always stuck in my mind as a perfect set.
Ooh this is a bit like Take 5 with Zan Rowe, only we can pick more than 5. Great idea Eddie.
I'll start with I Got You by Split Enz. I was already listening to a lot of music as a kid and pre-teen but I first heard this song on the radio at school. It was lunch break and my best friend had brought a portable radio to school. We were hanging out on the school oval and it came on the radio. I thought to myself, I really like that. Then about a week later it was played on TV on one of those chat shows that Mum used to watch - maybe Don Lane. Sadly I had to go to bed early but I could hear it on the TV while lying in bed! I was hooked and had to know everything about Neil Finn and Split Enz. I have bought every Neil release since that day. It's probably not his best song but it's the one that resonates with me the most due to the fact it's the one that got me hooked on him and the band.

Ah Right In The Night still pops up on my IPOD a lot and i still have it on CD single.
The good old days when you could get such enhancements from sources that you knew and trusted, it would be be a real lottery these days, still though my time has past now when i don't need to do things like that anymore but i look back with great fondness of that era in my life and what a good time it was.
