I'm half a dozen years off, but have thought about that song when it becomes more relevant........................good track though.
I have always had the mindset that it is a privilege to get to this stage of life but looking around at good friends who are around 8-15 years older than me and seeing what some of them are starting to go through, mentally, physically and medically has me second guessing that sentiment now.
Just enjoy life Eddie, try and stay active and make the most of everyday.

Had a real mix up of songs at work yesterday with songs from the 1960's till up to current but a few that hadn't played for a long while stuck in my mind
First was the simple simplicity of early ABBA
Abba - Honey, Honey

Thanks for the advice, after all my battles I try to enjoy the little things. Staying active is not always as easy as it sounds, and supporting the Roosters can be very stessful.
Will anyone still need me when I'm 64?

Yes supporting the Roosters can be very stressful, by staying active just even keeping your mind active is a very helpful thing, i'm by no means lazy but i am not the most physically active person ( i get plenty of physical activity at work ) but i try and keep my mind active most of the time, i have been looking at my father who just gone into age care and seeing how scrambled his mind is now i think keeping mentally active is very important.

Now a polite reminder to all This is The songs from your era thread Not a general chit chat thread ( we did have one of those a few years back but it inexplicably disappeared ) and as keen as we all are too see this thread hit 600 pages Let’s not clog it up with general chit chat and play some music I’m in the pub now and a song by Rihanna has just come on that’s appropriate for my little inconsequential rant
