Only discovered this band myself 12 months ago, although they have been round a while.

Amanda Anne Platt has a perfect voice for alt country, and great lyricist. Backed by a kickin band.

    • I can't watch this without crying buckets. A Life That's Good from the finale of the show:

      • This one was from Hart of Dixie. At one stage I was watching Dallas, Hart of Dixie and Nashville TV series all at the same time..throw in the Reese Witherspoon movie Sweet Home Alabama and it got mighty confusing.

Mumford & Sons - I Will Wait For You:

NeedToBreath - The Heart..it was played at the end of the series..no crying with this one..just dancing..:

        • This entire album is magnificent and I've had it in my collection for many years. Cry Like A Rainstorm Howl Like The Wind - Linda Ronstadt featuring Aaron Neville on some of the songs. Stand outs are:

Still Within The Sound of My Voice
All My Life (the reason I bought the album in the first place)
          Adios
          Don't Know Much

Here's some more Cutters...this is what country music is to me. No big production or gimmicks....just sittin under a tree bringing some casual simplicity to the fore, with a dash of quality.

Thanks Jack. I've got a folder set up for clips that Horrie will often send me during the week and then I watch them on weekends so I'll add these to the list. Mum & Dad would have liked this sort of music..Mum particularly..Dad would also listen to Demis Roussos.....

I remember posting this in lockdown somewhere back in time on here. This is Karen Lynne from the Blue Mountains and I found her CD Wishing Well at the local library quite a few years back:

I'd bought a BETA video recorder for him (and for me to record RAGE) and he thought it was the most marvellous invention.

I love this one from Kenny with Kim Carnes. Don't Fall In Love With A Dreamer

Oh sorry RWB. I hope that didn't upset you too much. Those anniversaries are hard. I hope you had a good day reflecting and remembering your Dad. I have a few coming up in August and September.
