Awesome clip I love when she swings around the street light and at the end how she takes her shoes off

        • Well as this thread seems to have died down on the Country week tributes, I think we can kick off Britpop. Feel free to post any more Country though if you like.
We all know Blur and Oasis were the big two Britpop bands of the 90's, and one of my personal favourites Pulp was their equal. But it was probably Suede which first kick started the Britpop movement with their self titled debut album.

The sound borrows heavily from glam rock era Bowie.

Thanks so much MR! Enjoying it whilst having lunch. I love Pulp too..I noticed you posted Common People a while back which I think is hilarious..When I used to watch Rage before I unplugged the telly, they would often be chosen by guest programmers as a favourite. I'm going to learn a lot from you over the coming week and am looking forward to it. Thanks for sharing in advance.

              • Blur - their second album was where it all started happening. The opening track is Britpop at it's finest!

Common People is my favourite song of the 90's. I love Jarvis Cocker's lyrics. His lyrics are satirical and hilarious.

                    • I posted this one a while ago too but since it's Oasis' first single and it's a beauty, I'll post it again.

I love the over the top lyrics and catchy melody. Liam still sounds like a cross between John Lydon and John Lennon in the early years

Sorry I'm going to make you do all the hard work this week and I'm just going to sit back and be educated and entertained! I'll keep the Aussie music and cover versions going though.
