Yes I did know he wrote that. I remember learning about that at the time it was released. I went through a period in the 80s when I was really into Dire Straits.

Hello Eddie. Thanks for your message and I've been out of action with a flu virus thing for over a month. Covid tests were negative so we can't work out what it is. I was too sick to even work at home so took time off from paid employment for the first time since 2018. As soon as I started going to the office again, I got sick. Covid is going around my work place again and one of the guys was even rushed to hospital on Thursday night with it (he's a Roosters fan too). I knew I was sick when I didn't even put my music on for a whole fortnight...

Thanks Horrie....probably deserves her own thread. Joy was an amazing lady who was the strength and brains behind maybe our most legendary singer. The mighty Slim. Joy wrote some of Slims biggest hits incl that one.
