I never saw that movie Horrie, but the title sounds familiar.

Starred Danny DeVito and Bette Midler, one of those American comedies that came out in the mid 80 s, usually shun those like the plague but ended up watching it on TV one night and Bette Midler is well typical Bette Midler, hilarious.

The soundtrack also contained Mick Jagger, Paul Young, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Luther Vandross, Dan Hartman, Kool and the Gang so The Machinations were in good company there.

This is a classic song and clip. My favourite of Dwights easily, originally recorded by his hero Buck.

The Bakersfield sound also became a thing in itself. Not a huge city, its mainly an Hispanic population. You will notice this in the clip, including a mexican influence in the music.
