Ok I think I get it all now. Just to clarify, Garry Dowling passed away March 5 1983, Mi-Sex released the single Blue Day in February 1984 (nearly a year later) and Steve Gilpin passed away on January 6 1992. As it turns out I was on holiday in Byron in December '91.

As for James Matthews, I was in the US when that happened so I didn't find out till I returned home about a week after it occurred. He was a fairly handy player and goal kicker from what I recall.

No problem mate. We did get to the bottom of it eventually. It just took a little digging.

          • It's funny you post that song as I mentioned being in the US a few posts back. I travelled on the Ventura Highway (also known as the Hollywood 101) a number of times and every bloody time that song came into my mind.

              • ABBA after almost 40 years of not recording any new music and it was like they had never been away, it was one bright spot in such a lousy year.

                  • Yay, you've resurrected the music thread.

I should like abba, but I have an abba phobia...................it stems from growing up with a sister who owned a cheap record player.
That and a black and white telly were the only luxury items in the house.

                      Robert Plant keeps on giving.

Great pairing Eddie. I've been reading up on this collaboration a lot in the music magazines.

I'd forgotten all about Suzie Q as well.
