Orinally by Joni mitchell, but a slightly better version imo.
Oh golly yes. My uncle did a recording of it as he used to sing in a band. Now that he is in his 70's he only sings at church now and also pre-covid did visits to nursing homes and retirement villages on the Gold Coast to entertain the residents. I have 4 versions of that song but none of them are Joni's. Paul Young with Clannard, Tina Arena, Nana Mouskouri & my uncle.
This one just came up now. A guy who I use to work with drove us from Clovelly to Newport for a BBQ back in the 90's and we played nothing but this song over and over again...no sad reason on either of our behalf..we just loved it...
Another childhood song that gave the adults plenty of amusement and joy at home during the last lockdown I recall one day it being played about twenty times at least at full blast Where the neighbours ended up knocking on th edoor pleading us not too play it again in spite of them agreeing it was a great song Becaude they were such nice eeople we stopped for the night and started up again 1st thing the next morning
