I do recall Robert Smith saying in an interview he was a big fan of The Jam and that they had influenced him with his own music. Any way another tune to enjoy

Really love this song too. But I do love Joy Division and their two albums, with the debut being my favourite. I also like New Order but of course they have a completely different sound. I'm also a fan of TheJam Eddie and have their 'big three' albums in my collection.

You have excellent taste in music MR. Disintegration is a masterpiece of an album. Pictures Of You is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard it touches my heart and soul every time I listen to it. Two songs you have not mentioned from this album that I feel must be are Plainsong and Untitled the latter is probably my favourite from the album but I do argue with myself at times between it and Pictures Of You

                      • I only played this song about 20 mins ago and then just read the news that Vangelis has passed away, what an amazing composer, remembered for Chariots Of Fire and Blade Runner soundtracks amongst others . RIP.

Thanks Andy and you’re right about those 2 other tracks. But it’s hard to fault a song on the entire album.

True it is a masterpiece I’ve been lucky enough to see The Cure live a couple of times.
One such time I think it was in 2000 my girlfriend at the time and I in our miss spent younger days spent the entire day with our mouths wrapped around the bong. We turned up at the gig so stoned. To our joy The Cure that night decided to play just about every song off Disintegration it was pure musical bliss

I never realized the cure were still performing as late as 2000.
                              It would've been cool.
                              Where did they play?
