Her cross over to pop, she followed that up with Do You Know What I Mean. I recall many years ago her saying she didn't really like "Say I Love You " even though it was a big hit for her.

          When you trust your television
what you get is what you got
Cause when they own the information
they can bend it all they want

                I disagree with you.
I for one listen to songs others have posted, and have been told that some versions I've put up are new to the listener.
I do admit I didn't listen to what you posted, but I guess you asked for that.

                    Yes that would be amazing,
The question is do we go back to posting random songs that get stuck in our head at a given time, or would someone like to suggest a new theme?

My idea for the month of February would be to honour the deceased musicians Gives us plenty to work with over a month

RIP Chuck Berry. An awful human being but a seminal force in R'n'R. As John Lennon said, "If R'n'R had another name it'd be Chuck Berry". Great guitarist and writer. I love it all but faves are No Particular Place to Go, School Day, Let it Rock and Run, Run, Rudolf. NASA sent the guitar intro to Johnny B Goode into space as a human signature.
The Stones with Brian Jones were Chuck aficionados and often gave other songs the Chuck treatment - Route 66 and Down the Road Apiece. The latter made them a great R'n'R band for mine.

When Keith Richards financed the doco "Hail, Hail, Rock'n'Roll" to immortalize his hero on film, Chuck played up the whole time almost derailing the enterprise. Resentful of Richards the copyist but more so of the British invasion in general, he was pedantic and difficult the whole way through. On another occasion he punched Richards in the face for fiddling with Chuck's unattended Gibson.

He was the supreme egotist. When another great emulator, Dave Edmunds put a band together, which included Entwhistle from The Who and Billy Bremner, to back Chuck at a London gig, he observed that Chuck had no idea whom any of them were. Hated the Beatles and the Stones despite the royalties both must have generated by doing his material.

I was watching Chuck play with John Lennon and Yoko Ono over the weekend. Chuck's face when Yoko started wailing was priceless. One of the greats for sure (Chuck not Yoko).
