This topic could go for a year given the amount of songs written around those themes. I've dug up the version of "The Dance" by its writer Tony Arata. Was recorded and made famous by Garth Brooks. One of the best chorus lyrics ever written.

One from the great man. I normally go for acoustic versions but this is done so well with the brilliant music bringing the passion and pain of the song to the listener. Felt this a few times along the way, I'd say many of us have.

Loved this cute little number back in the day. How many song titles can you find embedded in the lyrics?
