The water is so clear and cold at the moment and that usually shuts down the bream, I have never seen the harbour so clear for a long while, lack of rain has a lot to do with it at the moment. Chicken breast is a gun bait for bream and it stays on the hook longer.

Yeah, the water is really clear all the way up and down the coast right now. Was up at Warners Bay on the weekend and headed down through Budgewoi the down to The Entrance and i have never seen the big lakes looking so blue and clear. Plenty of people out fishing but I didnt see much being caught. I think most were there just to be out on the water as the weekends weather was sensational!

Used chicken for quite a while now butonly just started marinating it in oyster sauce and fish sauce. Little tip I picked up from a guy at BCF and local Chinaman. Im actually going to try it outside next time I go bottom bashing. Should work a treat!
