West Memphis 3 freed today

Wow....big news in the states. West Memphis 3 have been freed after 18 years in jail for a crime they didn't commit.

If you aren't familiar with the case. 3 young guy were charged with murdering 3 kids in the US apparently picked because of how they were dressed when walking around town on the night - heavy metal t-shirts and the like.

They've fought for their innocence all this time. One on death row and the others life sentences.

A Reuben Carter style act of injustice fixed. Apparently they had to plead guilty to get out.

Something about bookkeeping.

But then when that bitch Casey Anthony had more evidence against her but got off because her tits were perky, nothing surprises me about the U.S. justice system.

Yes what the hell is the Alford Plea?? Is it just a US Legal thing?

Apparently they had to enter into a guilty plea but can still maintain their innocence? I think it was the same thing that Chris Hicks went through.

Sound like a way for the prosecution to avoid a huge law suit if you ask me.

It's all about circumstantial evidence linking them to the crime. Much like what happened to Bradley Murdoch with just circumstantial evidence linking him with the murder of Peter Falconio but he didn't have that same option.
