Today, the Carbon Tax Scam WAS passed in the Senate.

A fraudulent tax, being gleefuly and arrogantly shoved down all our throats by a (for now) Prime Minister who gave her solemn promise to the voting public, as Labor Party Leader, four days out from the imminent election, that she would NOT introduce such a tax during any term of Government she led.

That Green filth Bob Brown crowing today that "he's proud to be Australian",
having stitched up a "marriage" with Labor post election, knowing that Labor could not run the country without his Party's support. If Gillard and Labor were so good at that stage, she should have had the courage to go to another election, and stuck to her promise to the people. It still amazes me that this Green filth has become front page news everytime he opens his mouth. The Greens are the cancer to the current state of Australian politics.

Penny Wong, Bob Brown, Wayne Swan (world's best treasurer LOL), Oakeshit and Windsor, et al, the whole sorry group, can throw around all the figures they like. Politicians, economists and scientists around the world, not everyone one but the vast majority all agree that an emissions trading scheme, cap n trade call it what you want is the best solution to reduce carbon emissions and encourage ' greener ' forms of energy. Under an ETS that will follow this carbon tax, you can actualy make money from all those changes you made as you'll generate carbon credits you can sell on the market...as well as make a point.

Chris, if Australia didn't want a carbon tax, they should have voted in a majority government. Instead they gave no one a clear majority so this is not a Gillard Labor government, it is a Gillard minority government with Greens and Independent crossbench support.

If Australia wanted Labor to deliver on their promises, as they were promised, they should have given Labor a majority. They didn't.
