    • Compliance will start from Monday, 4 January 2021 with $200 on the spot fines for individuals for non-compliance. Children under 12 are exempt but are encouraged to wear masks where practicable.Staff at hospitality venues like cafes, bars, restaurants, pubs or clubs will also be subject to mandatory masks.

Patrons will not need to wear a mask, unless they are using the gaming services

You do not have to wear a face mask after you finish eating or drinking when in a club. Unless these people are staff or in a gaming setting then you are over stepping the mark and abusing your position by doing this, Quite frankly if you are doing this to patrons in clubs you are no different to one who refuses to wear a mask in a gaming venue. In that you are not law abiding, just a law unto yourself.

I should be more clear- once you move out of the food and beverage areas you need to put a mask on. We don't wait for people in these areas to finish eating and race over and say put a mask on. Families with children normally eat and go home....and those without children move into cafe areas where obviously you don't need a mask-or the gaming areas where you do. Theres nothing happening in any of the live entertainment areas for now.

Everything we do is per government compliance.....and everyone has been great. No one is trying to make a patron feel uncomfortable- in fact totally the opposite-after all why bite the hand that feeds you

It is very clear in the links govt and the explanations apart from gaming areas nowhere in a pub club cafe or restaurant unless you are staff are you required to wear a mask. Not once in these type of venues have I or any other patron. I’ve seen been asked to do so. I assume you are not working in this setting and doing this but working in shopping malls where that is different. In fairness it could be a little different at a place like Casino or Rooty Hill RSL

We were actually geared up this time around that there would be frustrated patrons pushing back about wearing a mask at all.....but i haven't seen one person complain. Maybe its because they see every staff member wearing one at all times- maybe they think its not a big deal. Personally i need the shifts and $$$ so wearing a mask for 8-10 hours is nothing- i got kids to feed!!

Funnily enough we have actually seen some regular non smoking pokie players having a hit in the smoking areas because they can wear a mask....so i guess every cloud has some sort of silver lining!

Who’s cowering at home? I’m on the south coast of NSW supporting businesses by actually buying things and patronising services. I’m not pretending by going out and taking anything for free!

Hope your mask comes in handy champ and it helps in keeping you and those around you safe and well. I know it will if you just do you part!

Once again you end with an insinuation that I am not a law abiding citizen by saying IF you play your part. No matter how you want to put it. Spending money with small business is still spending money old man. I am fortunate enough that someone has chosen to take me along to help spend this kindly donated money. Had a lovely dinner last night at the CYC in Rushcutters Bay to celebrate a work windfall. Washed down with three beers the 1st for the year. Going to make that session at the gym later in the day a little tougher.

Good to hear you are not cowering at home and you are on the South Coast. But your earlier comment of the gyms cafes and beaches can wait for now clearly indicate you think people in Sydney should be playing there part by not attending such venues. If we played our part like you want us to these businesses would be hemorrhaging. Now unless you are a hypocrite and I assume someone who comes across on here as sanctimonious as you do, that you would not be. Should you be in Sydney or should the situation worsen and the mask mandate, become state wide, you would be cowering at home, and not spending money at local businesses like I and 10s of thousands of others doing on a regular basis. Worse still you appear to be on here encouraging the demise of small businesses by your comment beneath.

The gyms can wait, the beaches will still be there and the worlds not going to run out of coffee so mask up... The sooner we all play our part, the sooner we can take part again.

I think it’s a cop out Andy. Put your hand in your own pocket and spend your own. Where I’m from, that’s a freeloader who rides off the back of others and really, taking donated money and benefiting from it when you don’t need it is just in-Australian. Why isn’t that donated money being used to benefit those who need it through the businesses needing the support? Not to benefit those who don’t need it.

As for Sydney siders, no one to blame but themselves. Follow the advice of the medical experts and government and things wouldn’t be as bad but noooooo, the gyms, beaches and cafes seem to be more important. Reap what you sow old mate.

Whats hurting business isnt isn’t people staying at home. It’s those that don’t and spread it that are. The sooner we can get on top of it, the better everyone and business will be.

On the subject of business and the economy, personally I don’t think it’s a bad as some make it out to be. Yes, some have struggled which is very unfortunate but others have prospered beyond belief. Imo, it’s a shift in spending, not so much as a down turn in spending.

Btw, good to hear you are playing your part with your mask even if it’s for a free feed!

LOL Im not the one running the go fund me campaign. I know a very attractive woman who is. People are happy to donate. The money gets spent at local business. Win win I say. If nobody donates no money to spend, Pretty simple really. FTR I do spend my own money I did at CYC I did when RWB and I met up for lunch and today I had a lovely lunch at a nice little Thai restaurant. Just to name a few occasions.

Saying Sydneysiders have nobody to blame but themself is laughable. The only way this got out and now gets out into the community is through quarantine bungles and that includes giving out exemptions. No exemption given out no outbreak just before Christmas. There should be none given. But once again you show just how sanctimonious you are with such a comment as you reap what you sow. Chastisng millions of people who have done nothing but go about their lives, with your sanctimonious attitude.

Life has gone on, the gyms have stayed open, the beaches are packed, and the coffee still flowing freely in the cafes all with nobody in masks in any of those places ( all legal too) Yet here we are Day 7 of no community transmission. You look like a complete mug with your comments

Of course it comes in from returning O/S travelers however it only spreads when people don’t do the right thing. The vein ones who would rather put their gyms, coffee shops and beach parties ahead of the safety of the millions.

You stuck your head in the sand on the whole issue from the very start and argued like you were above it yet now faced with it, you claim to be some kind of saint for taking a free feed from donated money! As I said, why not use that money to support businesses who in turn could support those struggling through the pandemic? Oh but wait, what would be in for the gym junkies who need their free cafe meals?

Whis is the mug taking a free food from donated money when they don’t need it? If not a mug, definitely a scab act.

OMG hahahahaha You actually believe the Go Fund me page thing is real. There is no Go Fund me page LOL. Plenty of meals at cafes though. You have been played here RT and fallen into it big time, You are an even bigger mug than I thought. Who the fcek would donate to that if anyone actually tried a stunt like that. Silly sill sanctimonious old man.

It spreads because there is that window where people do not know they have it. Like those who had the exemption and broke their quarantine didnt know they were infectious. Then others who came into contact with them, didnt know that they had come into contact with the virus, or know they were infectious went about there business, see how it works old man. Now unless we are all ,locked up for eternity then this will happen again if it gets out of quarantine. This is why I am choosing to live my life as you never know when once again we may be locked up. All it takes is to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and you have two weeks at home in isolation to reflect on the life you live.

Yes you do look like a mug as contrary to what you have said old man. The gyms are still open and being used, the beaches are packed on a daily basis, and the coffee is still flowing freely Yet here we are 7 days with no community transmission. Here in the Eastern Suburbs the footy team you support This is how those who live here like to live. Its wonderful being out and about in all of these places seeing the t shirts jerseys caps being worn by supporters you are attacking with your sanctimonious attitude. If you hate our way of life so much then it may be time to follow another team from an area whose lifestyle fits into your values

I couldn’t give a rats if it’s real or not. I simply made a better suggestion to the lies you were spreading in here. I improved your hollow story.

It spreads because people like like you who think their gyms and coffee shops are more important than the safety of others. Take the proper precautions and you won’t run the risk of infecting others whether you know you have it or not! You did come out early on thumbing your nose at the whole thing and the idea of wearing a mask did you not? Pretty silly now eh Covid tough guy! As I said, there’s no point arguing with a Covidiot and you sir are the el capitano if all covidiots!

This is has nothing to do with the Roosters btw. Our support for Roosters are the one thing one thing I’m sure we can agree on but once the games over and the jerseys are off, I’m sure there’s a carpark somewhere with a 2am kebab calling right? Lol

You silly sanctimonoious old man. Attacking people for going about their daily business legally. Gyms open legally beaches open legally cafes open legally All places where no masks are required. Here is an idea write to your local MP about this outrage of tens if not hundreds of thousands of people living the legal lifestyle you hate us living, and stop attacking the way of life that is lived in The Eastern Suburbs. Yes you really should find another team where the area fits in with your values of the way of life lived in it.
