However, if Andy wants respect, he needs to show some and from early on in this thread he threw verbal insults then threatened to get physical with not just myself but others on here. That sort of conduct is contrary to what you said. Either he is a keyboard warrior or he really would put himself and as such his daughter in danger by actually turning up to physically confront a stranger!

Im glad you guys have a strong friendship and I hope you can enjoy many more covid safe dinners/lunches and get out to many more footy games in the near future. Andy and I obviously have differing opinions but they don’t have to be ours. I’m sure his covid intentions are good, like mine but we just have differing ideas about how to get on top of this thing.

Just keep in mind that good intentions can have innocent repercussions... https://youtube.com/watch?v=dm10I1ZqAiw&feature=share
I'm not upset anymore RT but thank you. If anything, you've helped strengthen my friendship with Andy even more now and with Horrie Hastings too as he and I were chatting about everything I said in my post as he and his family used to come and visit me too. I'd do anything for either of them if need be. I didn't need a year of Covid to bring me to this conclusion either.

      • What a glorious last two days we have had here. Up to 10 days 0 community cases Thosusands out about all over Sydney enjoying Australia Day on a blazing got summers day yesterday. Topped this afternoon by the easing of restrictions come Friday morning. Including mask wearing in shopping centres and the like. All revised in two weeks again and if numbers low again more restrictions eased.

To think in spite of RTs comments this has been achieved with the gyms heaving with people, the beaches packed, and the coffee flowing freely

The gyms can wait, the beaches will still be there and the worlds not going to run out of coffee so mask up... The sooner we all play our part, the sooner we can take part again.

I love that you use my quote! The results mean everyone has been playing their part and as such, Sydney appears to be getting on top of things. Good on you for masking up and doing your bit!

            • Interesting with the lifting of mask restrictions in shopping centres, yesterday at Marrickville Metro i would say at least 95% of people there were still wearing masks.

Yep, just you don’t have to doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take the precaution. Good to see things getting back to a bit or normality up there. Obviously the harsher restrictions and recommendations are making a difference.
                  Stay safe Horrie!

Yep. We’ve been leading the way with sporting events for a while now. Was at the BBL tonight with a decent crowd all quite Civid aware. Interesting that we had to scan our passes to get out of the ground tonight. First time I’ve had to do it this season.

                      • Was interesting at Bondi Beach today, i know it was a Monday and school holidays are over but Bondi Beach was like a ghost town, there was a solid crowd on the beach but walking along Campbell Parade seeing all the eateries empty and the owners out the front trying to spruik people in was sad to see. Have to admit though the actual beach itself looked great and it was nice enjoying a soft drink out on the balcony of the North Bondi RSL to finish the day off.

Welcome back Zac and belated Happy New Year. Did you finish Parks and Recreation? I'm watching Happy Endings now. Trying not to compare it to Friends as that is unfair but it's really good.

Thanks Zac. This year is has been really great for me so far. I'm really enjoying new work challenges and more importantly have reconnected with old friends who mean a lot to me. Working from home means I now know my neighbours a lot better and that is a good thing as some of them in this building are Roosters fans and we all look out for one another and help with shopping, pets and household issues etc. Oh and I must have been the only person who actually lost weight during lockdown as I can now go and walk for the pleasure of it as I'm not burned out from all the commuting. Its almost 12 months since I learned of my redundancy due to Covid and to be honest, I'm glad I now had the opportunity to shed everything and everyone that no longer serves a positive purpose in my life and replaced it with better choices.

Sorry to hear your DVD's didn't come but P & R is available in other platforms at different times. It took me 5 years to watch it all anyway. I did try 3 times to watch The Crown but I couldn't get past the first episode. I prefer watching documentaries as I like factual ones but I hope you enjoy it. Have a great weekend and it's good to see you back on here.
