Totally agree.
I take it that Andy has never experienced anyone who has had mental health issues especially at these times.
He probably laughs when a footy player says he needs time away to treat his mental health issue as a "weak sook with no backbone or resilience".
Not suggesting that 1908 falls in that category but there are others who would read Andy's comments who may be suffering and take it to heart.
Andy - your comments were of a low life human who appears to be on the backfoot with this whole argument. Maybe you are the one who is now chucking a tanty and deflecting it to others.
1908 - we have had our disagreements but I've always thought you were a person of high moral character. Remember you can always put people on ignore.

My family are very grateful that Andy is back in my life again and for Horrie Hastings helping me also for more than 10 years.

I ve had insulting comments re my own mental health going back last year in this thread When I mentioned things that were demonstrably true. Get off your selective high horse To be honest think what you like your judgement is insignificant to me.

If you have those mental issues then I am sorry and hope you get/stay on top of it.
But maybe you should apologise for what you wrote as you should understand how those type of comments could affect someone who has mental health issues and is in a vulnerable state.
The last thing you would want to hear is you are a weak sook with no resilience and need to grow a backbone. And as I said I am not saying 1908 suffers from mental health but if he does or others reading it who agree with his stance, it is not a great thing to read.
There are ways of arguing with someone without getting as low as that.

Seriously I don't understand how this all got so out of hand. As a bystander reading the last several pages of this thread and the other one, it's clear posters sit on different sides of the fence than others on this issue of vaccination. This is all well and good and perfectly fine and why we live in a democracy. It's the personal insults however which seem to be the catalyst for most of the problems here. People are entitled to an opinion without being called ignorant or a sook etc.

Also, RWB you are a special case in that you can't have the vaccination due to medical grounds. I understand this as there are certain things in life I am excluded from or can't do due to medical issues. It's frustrating and annoying so I do know where you are coming from.

He helps me every day..more than he realises and I'm ok with him defending me against Battering Ram and Third Man In Thaiday who ganged up on me yesterday with their tiresome middle age men comedy routine. At least he isn't attacking a woman on here for just simply stating that I couldn't follow the comments being made as they were directed at Red who wasn't even posting in this thread. It's not my fault that someone couldn't articulate themselves correctly in order to be understood. He not only got posters names incorrect, he then started directing comments at other posters meant for me. Does that sound like a person with integrity? And as for calling me a ewe in sheep's clothing, I'd be very careful toeing that line. I know a lot about posters on here who pretend to be something they are not. One treated me so badly my family sought legal advice almost a year ago and they know who they are. I was smart enough to keep a file on this person which goes back for a decade.

I'm sorry I must have not picked up on the other stuff with 08. Admittedly I didn't start reading everything till late yesterday afternoon as I was dealing with my usual day to day family dramas with two teens. I got the impression that AW insulted 08 by calling him ignorant. This seemed to set off a fracas between him and AW as it's not nice to be called ignorant in such a blunt manner when you're just stating an opinion. AW can be very blunt and the effect is exacerbated by the printed word. This can be dealt with if you know the person well (I have a son with Aspergers and being blunt without realising it, or meaning it to offend is quite common for him) but on an online forum with strangers and the printed word it can come across very harshly. As for what heppened between you and 08, there may have also been some miscommunication there? I'm not sure. It was a bit strange you being called Red. It did throw me at the time when I first read it. I do hope you two can sort this out, though I see 08 is banned today.

I am not going to get into an argument with you. I know he is your mate and he has helped you. Just like any other mate helps their mates. It is a mate's duty. Good on him for that.
I have no issue with anyone defending a woman, a person for their ethnicity or anything else.
My point was what he wrote is just as bad without taking people's mental states into consideration.
But if you have no problem with what he said then you are entitled to feel that way. I have seen people attack you as a woman. I have see other women take offence at what was said.
I have seen racial comments directed at one person and others took offence.
Andy wrote something that might have been directed at one person but others could have taken it in a bad way as well.
I have apologised to Andy for doubting his own mental issues before he asked for it. Even though he said he apologised I can't see it.
I have made my points and you and Andy can take them as you wish. I won't be drawn into further comment as it is a waste of time.
