i think the problem was some parents didn't want their young kids being tested. might be wrong, but not sure anyone was let out of quarantine without being tested. they're changing to a saliva test now, so no excuses.

64 cases in vic today. not a good number but given the amount of testing they're doing good that it's a decrease from yesterday.

nrl did well to re-locate the storm last week.

Their, and also NSW's allowing returning travellers to dictate the terms of their quarantining in hotels is/was absolutely ridiculous.
"You must be tested for Covid-19 after 10 days in hotel isolation".
"No, we will not be letting you do that".
"Oh, ok, just leave quarantining after 14 days without being tested, sorry for
the inconvenience".
Lunacy.
7 new cases in NSW yesterday, all returning travellers in hotel isolation.
70 or so new cases in Melb/Vic yesterday...most
community transmission.
The borders should be closed until that community transmission figure is zero.

Not a bricks and mortar wall...a wall of cops or troops on any entry points into NSW.
On the news just now I saw passengers at Sydney airport who'd arrived on planes from Melbourne.
Man said he was given a mask (and basically left to do his best.)
Zero community transmission in NSW means I can touch the handle of a petrol pump without being terrified it might be laden with Covi-19 virus (which lives on surfaces for a long time...72 hours on plastic.)
Or on plastic bags home delivered with groceries in them by the supermarkets.
Only be slightly terrified.
Zero community transmission means I can venture outside wearing a mask and feel fairly safe if I socially distance.
Now Victoria has taken that away from me.
NSW borders with Vic must be closed.

Gladys and Minister Hazard don't seem to understand...that another "Ruby Princess" lurks large by allowing flights and road traffic into NSW from Vic.
Next time...heads will roll. No excuses will be acceptable.

South Australia and Qld have closed their borders with Vic.

Ch TEN news just now showed pigs...stated that there's some sort of swine flu in China, that's it's transmissible from human to human, and a vaccine should be developed.

I pay top price for 98% Australian ham.
No "made in Australia from less than 10% Australian ingredients" ham for me.

Hey BONDI BOY. I need to vent about my day

Today the missus sent me to Woolworths with a food list and i noticed quite a few people with packs of toilet paper in their trolley i had never seen before....so i went to the dunny paper aisle and it was empty besides this random brand that had plenty of stock of packs of 10 for $7.99. Checked it out- a brand called "Tenderly" - and its freaking MADE IN CHINA.

Next i thought id buy some hand sanitiser and there was plenty of a brand called "Swisscare"- with the label having a Swiss Cross displayed on a first aid box. Checked out the back and it was imported by a company MNB Variety imports, a web address for them and an Australian phone number, then under that in the smallest writing ever "Made in P.R.C". Bloody hell they don't even write "China" anymore- now its the abbreviation of Peoples Republic of China"

Now what shits me the most is people complaining about China, how governments need to be tough on them blah blah blah but then don't check where a product is made and end up purchasing Chinese products. For farks sake Australians should buy Australian. As Morrison welcomes back Chinese students to Australian universities we seem to forget that Abbott signed the free trade agreement with the Chinese. All the tough talking against the Chinese is just political rubbish. Our government still wants to suck on the teat of China. So much for bringing manufacturing back to Australia.

Only the people can show China we don't need their cheap products. We need a Product of Australia aisle at Woolworths & Coles at the very least......but i want to see a supermarket that only has products of Australia!!

Go to your local IGA if you have one RR. When I worked at Martin Place, I used to go to Romeo's IGA (this family own many in South Australia and the ones on the north shore too) and they have a lot of products made in South Australia. I even bought my skincare from them instead of fancy ones made overseas. I'm a big label reader when it comes to shopping also so try them if you have one nearby.

In China it's all considered very normal apparently.

I use some beauty products...soap,
shave cream, face scrub, shampoo, conditioner.
I check the labels carefully.
I don't apply makeup.
If I did I'd be checking the country of origin very carefully...as well as the ingredients.
