Always went to the Old Bus Depot markets when i visited Canberra but the last two times when i was down for the football i noticed the markets had less and less, that was in 2018 and 2019, although i did find a nice Rooster pate dish which was only $5 last trip. I remember one time i was there the place that did Gelato were giving away samples of bacon flavoured gelato, i couldn't bring myself to taste it. Also used to buy a persimmon chutney from there which was beautiful with cheese.

I'm shivering with cold now over here...that storm this afternoon around 2pm was one of the worst I've seen in a while...scary how the weather is so changeable in one day..this morning was so bad too

I've have just opened the windows at home because of the humidity but i was told the rain was actually coming in through the windows when it rained about 1pm.

i feel your pain mate. I usually get a special pomegranate balsamic vinegar from there and a middle eastern spice rub and have been missing them for the past few months. I have friends that have a food stand there. Maybe it was them that did the Rooster dish. Don’t forget to get a cup of fresh OJ just on the right before the food court next time. Delish!

Yes I get all virtuous again on Sundays as I don't want to be unwell on a Monday for work. Had microwave fries with steak sauce and salt and pepper before. I am going to detox though for the 30 days of November before the holiday season.

Self control and discipline is very easy to exercise when one wants to or finds them self thrust into a situation where they have to. On this occasion it is the former that applies.

As for breakfast I’ve had my banana and cocoa shake with the blender Yum I’m leading a fit and healthy lifestyle these days Only drink occasionally and in moderation keep fit with plenty of exercise and training I’m 10kgs lighter than what I was the last time I saw you I am more than likely moving close to your way soon end of year early next Definately meet up at park with My Daughter some time then like you mentioned earlier on.
Just watched part 2 of the Eagles documentary and in their later days when they reformed when Glenn Frey was still alive, they banned drugs and alcohol from all the rehearsal spaces as they had children by then. They all looked so much healthier and fitter than they did in their early days when you look at the footage. Bruce Springsteen is another who is now in his 70's and still can play and carry guitars around on stage for 3 hours at a time. You are what you eat...and today I am a Violet Crumble...

Interesting you are what you eat. When it comes to oneself. I go by you are what you think not what others think.

A few of the boys from work joined me so i had the sit-down meal of lamb plate tonight- freaking tremendous. The spinach and cheese pide is a massive goer too.

Just catching up on the QLD election now. Pauline Hanson got smashed hey - it seems telling older voters not to worry about Covid wasn’t just bad health advice but bad political strategy as well.

Annastacia Palaszczuk got rewarded for her efforts. Alan Jones & Paul Murray tried ripping shreds off her for months....bad luck hey.

What does that tell me? The majority of people in Australia actually care about each other and will put health before self interests. Very opposite to .the divided mess that the USA is in. 99,000 new Covid cases just in the last 24hrs- the most 1 day tally of any country at any point.....numerous hospitals across the states are nearing maximum capacity. An election coming up that i get the feeling theres going to be violence whether Trump or Biden win. We are so lucky to live in Australia

                    • We can’t say with any certainty what the future of COVID-19 is. But based on our experience with other infections, there is little reason to believe that the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 will go away any time soon, even when vaccines become available. A more realistic scenario is that it will be added to the (large and growing) family of infectious diseases that are what is known as “endemic” in the human population.

Should this be correct this begs the question previously posed. How long are people prepared to live like this. How long will the current rules be kept in place.

I think most people can be easily hoodwinked too.

You keep missing the basic point...."The cure is worse than the disease".

Economic and social fabric ruin is worse than this nasty flu. Businesses and livelihoods buggered, loved ones not seeing each other, suicides etc. affects everyone in society.

Good morning Andy, I just tried to send you a private message with my contact details but it wouldn't go through but keep in touch anyway and let me know if you or your daughter need anything once you move over this way. Have a good week.

                          • I hope my 40 year old niece in London expecting her first child doesn't get the 'nasty flu' then. The healthcare system over there is at breaking point now and they have to go and enforce lockdown all over again. It's my favourite city in the world apart from Sydney and makes me very sad to see this today in the news. They are a very stoic society and when my father was serving in WWII he had nothing but praise for the British soldiers he met.

                                Sounds like a great meal!

I wasn't sure how QLDers we’re going to react in this election but as you said, they value their health and safety more than they do the $$$ which says a lot.

We need to stay ahead of the virus and QLD has shown that through tough measures it can be done.
