    • we won't be getting the vaccine for a few months yet so you'd figure we'll have more data about how effective it is - hopefully it's as good as the early reports

        • It’s clear it is far from over but let’s not take precautions hey. The gym, the beach, the lattes are waaay too important. What a shame xmas is effectively ruined for soo many people now.

          • Shout out to our Glad for saving Christmas as much as possible at least with intra state common sense measures.

Lucky to live in NSW, has really schooled the other States in sensible risk identification and strategies, that consider economic and social consequences not just the kill the ant with a sledgehammer approach, hiding behind the skirts of "health advice".

If only other states could be as logical not just political point score. And that includes dopey Marshall from SA to show its not a party political thing.

Merry Xmas to all and I'm sorry for those affected by the mindless border restrictions.

            • Not as loud a shout out, however, for the State grants of tax payer money to Lib supporters in sums that dwarf Bridget's sports rorts.
Anyway, whatever the outcome, and I hope that it's a good one, News has her back. Compare last Sunday Tele's headline re the wealthy northern beaches lib voting lockdown to the Herald Sun's response to an earlier outbreak in Melbourne's west. In the former, under a complimentary image of Glad (the love rat experience clearly behind her and all of the unanswered questions that went with it) was the reassuring banner, "It's For Your Own Good". By contrast the battlers in Melbourne's west got - "Enemies Of The State!". What a bullshit "Democracy" we have here.

Wow if you think that Gladys did well what do you think about WA's Mark McGowan? Smashed Covid out of the state, the economy grew and produced a surplus.....and he has a 89% approval rating.
You can get $1.14 about him winning the next state election. 14% bank interest!

Thank heavens you don’t run the State you would have panicked and shut everything down. Ruining Christmas for the entire Greater Sydney and possibly the entire state.

We have a sensible compassionate leader who holds her nerve. The economy chugging along nicely here masks worn at your own discretion and not mandated.

Even if she is to blame for this latest outbreak. It certainly didn’t flare up due to locals living their life going gyms cafes beaches or pubs. It flared up again because someone who came back from overseas and was granted an exemption from quarantine didn’t do the right thing and stay home when they should have.

                    Have a nice Christmas Day

                    • Must agree , I think the NSW state government has done a excellent job in keeping us safe and keeping us as open as possible. Also what about NSW health , almost 70k tests yesterday and 48kbthe day before , the health workers are the true hero's for me .

Also smashed peoples livelihoods and personal contacts for family members and loved ones for months on end.

Yeah he's a smasher all right.

We talking about the same state? They were able to have crowds of 30,000 at Optus Stadium since June.....and West Aussies have been able to go about their life without any major restrictions since. The fact they have been able to live Covid free for the majority of the second half of the year is the reason why their economy has done so well....and livelihoods have not been wrecked.

Helps when you don't let ships with Covid passengers disembark into the community without any restrictions

How awesome to see so many people come forward and respond to Gladys request to be tested and play by her rules. I think every state has been obliging to their premiers requests and it shows in the. numbers. Compare that to the shitfest in the US who still cant even get people to wear a mask

That is ancient news now as we had recovered from that. I would be more concerned with how it got out this time round and the fact tney are telling us they cannot find patient 0. Personally I do not believe that for 1 second, all that contract tracing they do they cant find the initial patient.

I would say it is someone very well connected perhaps a former or even current MP or someonevery high up in business who has broken the rules, and they dont want us to know as all hell wil lbreak loose if it comes out. Perhaps they will come out and tell us it was Joe the camera man.
