If I hadn't sold it a couple of years ago I would be luckier.

No doubt. The value of anything pre 80’s is just insane!

            • Gladys has made a mess of the recent outbreak. 7 weeks into lockdown and record numbers and now the whole state in lockdown. What a mess

Yeah agree with that .I think she did a great job up to now but locked down far to slow and not hard enough .

I'm not sure it's possible to lockdown too slow or not hard enough mate. Don't forget we imported lockdowns from China too, for use by clueless politicians.

                  • no one can be sure locking down a week earlier would have done the trick but gee, it was worth a shot. one week earlier and maybe we'd have been out of lockdown weeks ago.
i think they believed their own bullshit about them being the anti-lockdown gold standard. sure, they'd done well up until then but the delta variant is a game changer. if only it was ravaging the world beforehand we might have known how bad it was. oh hang on, it was and we should have.
in their defence they were the victim of having an efficient contact tracing system that made them think they might be able to stay on top of it but they were wrong.

I bet in hindsight they would have locked down a lot earlier .As did Queensland and Act .delta is massively different and the only safe way, in my opinion anyway is to stamp it out quick but unfortunately it's to late .This will keep going for months now .

                      • LOL Gladys now saying at todays press conference. That restrictions will still be in place when vaccination rates hit 80 percent. We are all being lied to. It really is time to wake up.

                          • i'd like to know what she meant by

"Even if we had zero cases and we were at 80 per cent double dose, you would still have to respect rules that exist around vaccinations, around social distancing, around mask-wearing," Ms Berejiklian said.
"So long as Delta and deadly COVID is around, we will always need to live with a measure of restriction."

there are other countries in the world that are opening up with less vaccination rates.
restrictions are different from lockdowns, so that's something, and with 20% not vaccinated there can still be a lot of death and i guess if wearing a mask protects those who are unable to be vaccinated then maybe it's okay for a while but if there's 80% fully vaccinated and zero cases i doubt there will be much of a stomach to toe that line

Zac it would be great if those that choose not to get vaccinated ,not those that can't get vaccinated where made to wear masks and the ones that had been done had more freedom .I know it would be hard to police but would maybe entice some to think again
