His biggest crime I think was to support a product that Trump also did.. which set the anti Trump media against him.
Yes Kelly isn't anti vaccines but he is anti Covid vaccine because of the unknown long term effects. If he and Alan Jones look in the mirror they need not worry about anything long term- both have 1 foot in the grave & the other on a banana skin. If Kelly has his way he still would be treating everyone with hydroxychloroquine & zinc

Then again, you are probably just trolling while the dominoes are tumbling your way. The germs on the turn..it’ll be interesting to see

No to Clive, same dictatorial tendencies as McGowan and Andrews. I like Kelly, but he's probably too fair dinkum for the grubby political game. I think the Lib Democrats might be taking a 'no lockdowns' policy to the election, but what's the rest of their story?
Don't be fooled that a lot of decisions around this virus aren't political now as much as any 'health' response. Fed election looming next year, Labor premiers locking down whole states, cities for tiny case numbers...hmmm. In NSW our Glad would (privately) prefer a softer more holistic response, but Chant wants perennial lockdowns and restrictions. Did we vote for Chant to control our lives? Don't think so. Expect some breakaway political groups forming from current parties.
If I could fantasise a moment, a new political aspirant who said:
" Broad lockdowns will only be used in wartime or for imminent terrorist threats, not to repel viruses. Police and armed forces will be used for their core purpose of fighting crime and wartime efforts. Healthy people will still be allowed to work, and kids allowed to go school. Kids have already missed over 12 months of their education life and sporting recreation. Targetted smaller location restrictions could apply if absolutely neccessary. No daily press conferences scaring people with new case figures. Unless we also provide other statistical information such as deaths from other health causes, numbers of businesses closed, domestic abuse cases, suicides/or attempts, calls to Lifeline and Kids Helpline etc. We need to consider a holistic approach in dealing with health, economic and social consequences and risks. We don't elect politicians to rely on one stream of 'health advice' to govern their actions, ignoring all else. Get vaccinated, isolate when sick, practice the best hygiene. But live your life. We can't allow self inflicted harm inposed on society to continue at the whim of our current leaders. Vote one I M Best".
Ya got my vote Besty!
Im pretty sure if Gladys could have it over again she would have locked down Sydney hard & fast after the delta bondi outbreak. I don't buy she would have preferred any other approach- even now with the lockdowns hospitals are feeling the heat. She got caught up in all bullshit from Scomo & the Sky News dinosaurs about the "NSW Gold standard track trace program". She spent most of this year gloating how " i hope the other states have taken notice on how we don't need to lockdown...." & " i fear other states with have 10% unemployment....". Its all there on Youtube with her foot in her mouth. She is the premier of the state, not Chant- the buck stops with her. Im sure it wasn't Chants idea to allow Harvey Norman to stay open during the initial lockdown!!! Seems like Gladys can make decisions on her own when she really needs to
Im not a believer in holding back information to the public- the figures are what they are. Calls to lifeline when up 20% from 2019 to 2020- yet suicides in Australia decreased in 2019 to 2020-in NSW it actually fell 5%. On face value Covid or lockdowns of 2020 didn't lead to more suicides. Maybe Lifeline and all the helplines contributed to the decrease (the very reason they exist!)- maybe the decrease would have been greater if it wasn't for Covid-the reasons for suicide are too varied to come to a firm conclusion.
We got a big glimpse of the economic consequences of the 2020 lockdowns- everything bounced back extremely fast to pre Covid levels- unemployment, stock market, property market.
There's no denying it was & still is the toughest period of a lot of peoples lives. Some businesses did go under- like they did in the global GFC of 2007-2009, but the government didn't hang anyone out to dry. I haven't worked for 7 weeks but im grateful for the money im getting in the interim-even if it is lower than what i was getting before. The bank approved my request of decreasing my mortgage repayments for 3 months without even a consult-just did it online.
In 1947 my old man had a choice as a 16 year to leave Italy for either the USA or Australia to find employment. Thank FARK he chose Australia- best country in the world!!!

However yes at a 70% vaccinated population it's time to open up. Once every Australian who wants to be vaccinated has had the opportunity to do so then no more lockdowns

G'day Jack .As you know I fully agree with you about lockdowns but think they are necessary at time and this in NSW is one such time .A question for you to answer honestly please. If opening up and removing the lockdown tomorrow would restore the economy .get business back on track but meant that you and I don't know your circumstances but just for conversation if it meant your were to loose a mother , father , Son daughter , best mate and perhaps thousand of others could die .Would you then truly say that opening up sooner rather than later was a good thing . To me we need to be honest and if we can answer that we could live with that sacrifice then ok but for me it's a no.Lets get the vaccination moving proberly and keep lockdown in place untill we have reach a higher % because honestly I believe the economy will recover .Just my thoughts .
There are people avoiding cancer diagnosis treatment, cardiovascular diseases unchecked (50 people a day die in Oz from this), young kids attempting or contemplating suicide etc. All as a result of self imposed restrictions by our Governments. Self harm mandated.
I wouldn't risk all that to stop a family member getting covid..no. Reckon I likely had it last year and self isolated etc.
We all die somehow sometime...but it's like our leaders are saying "We know youse all gunna die, but I'll be dang if youse gunna die from dis here flu! "
Obviously I support mass Vax, stay at home when sick, best hygiene , protect the vulnerable etc. Just not mass lockdowns. Largely political now, and power trips by some individuals.
IMHO...and many disagree. And that's OK. It's a free country...well I think it is.#We Stand with ourJewish community#
