The quality of our products is some of the worlds best and we will soon have other markets would we be better off bowing to China and trying to go back to the way things were then every time they want to get it cheaper or make us squirm they just stop buying for a while again .Surely that's not a fair partnership .Again just reckon start the process now and try and find new marketsLast edited by Rooster1908; 12-16-2020, 08:57 PM.

If nothing else a little show of courage and respect for western values in a free world by our Govt may have just poked the Bear enough for the world to see their true colours.

Id like to see a stop or a vast slowing down on all overseas interests buying Australian land, property & major businesses. Im amused when people say China is a threat to Australia in terms of military strength & security. Why would they want to attack us when we just sell ourselves to them?

Its looking that way for sure Jack . More and more countries seem to be opening there eyes. Its wont happen overnight and will be a slow burn. They have hit us pretty hard but we are a resilient country and were strong and prosperous before them and will be after them .

I heard he's also working on his latest book 'Marxism for Dummies'. You may be a case study.

We need a divorce. Plenty of fish in the sea.China's plan to build a fish processing facility in the Torres Strait has raised concerns over border security and impacts to commercial fishing...it’ll be interesting to see

Divorce can indeed be liberating - whether it's an actual divorce or an end to an unhealthy business relationship or friendship. Times have changed and no one, person or country, should be shackled to something or someone that is unhealthy or not mutually beneficial to all parties concerned..not just the selfish ones who take but don't give in return. On that note, I'll sign off for the year."Those who care about you can hear you, even when you are quiet" - Steve Maraboli

Same to all of my fellow Chookpenners. Have a lovely Christmas and here's hoping 2021 is a better year for us all.
And of course go the Mighty Roosters!
