    • I caught "The Girl who played with Fire" on Sunday night. I almost fell asleep in the first hour. 2 rape scenes, and a lesbian scene, all the norm for a Swedish Film. Then for some reason got into the story the last hour.

I have SALT on the PC at home. Havent watched it yet. Will probably take the kids to see the Guardian owl thingy and cats and Dogs 2. LOL.

Also want to catch Wall Street 2.
Alcohol never solved any life problems.....then again neither did milk.

                • well i watched I am Legend last night.. thought it was a decent movie; but the CGI really let it down

also surprised to hear they went to the effort of altering the ending completely after having it viewed before a test audience

                  • Earthquake

Even though this is an oldie it has always been a favourite of mine,i was house sitting for a friend who has a great home theatre set up so i took it around to watch it mainly just to see how good the soundtrack would be through a good set up.

Well the sound did not disappoint, the sub woofer went off on cue with the earthquake, pre shocks and after shocks rattling the ceilings,it sounded fantastic and subtly reminded me of when it was shown in sensurround back in the 70's.However having not seen this movie for a long time i had forgotten how really bad it was overall, some very botchy special effects and some really bad dialouge and acting, still i enjoyed it mainly to finally hear the earthquake rumble through the speakers like it should and give the plaster a bit of a shaking.

Really? I was looking forward to it.

                      Was it poorly executed?

I'm going to watch 'The Towns' tomorrow. Now that looks like a good movie.

2 hours of a guy inside a box - literally with no other scenes aside from him inside that box - the idea was there, a contractor in Iraq getting buried and having to get himself out using only what was in the box.... the ending was also pretty disappointing for those of us that stuck out the 2 hours!

                              • The Town

Best movie I have watched since The Departed.

Jeremy Renner is incredible in it and Affleck seems to get better with time as a director. Gone Baby Gobe was good, but this is another level.

                                Gritty and exciting.
