Also like Bette and Leslie together in The Petrified Forest, this movie also defined the type of role that Humphrey Bogart would make his own.
Ahh Bogart.. One of my favourites!!!

Michael Moore's "Capitalism: A Love Story"

Thoroughly enjoyed it as it was Moore bringing his familiar style to another topic.
I could poke holes in this film but I'm not going to do so as I respect what Moore is trying to do by making these films.

I noticed they ahve made a movie of a book that I am reading.....The Lovely Bones....it comes out at the end of the month I think.......The book is terrific, its about a young girl who is murdered and how her spirit is trying to let her loved ones know who did it......

2012- well i guess really it was what i should have expected, way over the top, black president is a hero, nobody saves the day and about a million questions at the end beginning with "but what about.....?"

zombieland-dry funny, woody harrelson is great as always!! would recommend anyone seeing it!

With Mark Wahlberg as the father of the young girl I believe. I look forward to seeing this one.

MDNF, a couple of questions if I may please. Is Zombieland particularly violent?
2012 - at all thoughtful or just OTT?

i guess it is a little violent, but in ridiculous ways, they use anything they have to kill zombies.... its not scary but maybe a little violent for children under 12

2012 tries hard to be thoughtful, they put in some feel good bs about how we should treat other human beings etc but overall it was really just like a bad version of independance day meets dante's peak!

                    Thanks mate.
Looks like I'll be giving Zombieland a miss but seeing 2012 purely for the effects.

                    • In Bruges

Great movie. Colin Farrell's best performance.

Thanks for posting that Foggy, I'm really looking forward to this one now. The concept is very interesting and the effects should be something else.

It was better the 2nd time round...I had time to explore the movie better as the 1st time it was just a stunning visual experience...next I'm going to see it at the IMAX...
